“Amazing 4 day trip from Marrakech to Erg Chebbi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2012

A group of friends and I took a trip to Morocco recently and booked a tour with Zaid. It really made the whole trip worthwhile. Zaid is an amazing tour guide. He carefully explained the customs and fun facts about the places we were passing by. He also took us on several off roads that we would never have been able to see on our own; the scenery was breathtaking. We went on a four day tour from Marrackech to Fez, stopping in Ouarzazate, Todra Gorge, and Erg Chebbi. Driving through, Zaid patiently stopped in every place my friends and I wanted to take pictures, which was often because each place was more beautiful than the last. I highly recommend a trip to Morocco, friendly and warm people and beautiful landscapes, and I would only do it with the help of Zaid.

Driving through the atlas mountains was amazing! It just snowed so the scenery was phenomenal. Zaid was a great guide and very informative. Easy to get along with and made the day trip very worthwhile. Highly recommended!

“Six unforgettable days in the desert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2012

We have been very lucky to have had Ziad as our guide, thanks to him we spend some wonderful days in the desert of southern Marocco!
Starting the tour in Ouarzate, we passed through Tinejdad, where we slept in a real Kasbah hotel, that forms part of an old berber Ksar, a tipical fortified ancient village. We also visit the gorges of Todra and the zoco (market) in Risani (amongst others) and ended up in the "real" desert, Merzuga and Ouzina with all the different landscape and changing colours. We passed throughstone deserts, valleys, hills and disecated lakes and over rocks; stones and sand dunes.
I doubt that it would have been the same trip if Zaid hadn't been our guide. he is originally from that area and he really knows how to connect you wiyh yhe unique beauty of this countryside. He gave us detailed information about local customs and conventions and even took us to visit private houses where we had tee with the family.
With him we felt completly safe and protected and we were happy not to be on our own. Sometimes the desert is a bit tricky to drive (in fact during the tour we had to help out another car which got stuck in the sand) - and we hardly would have had managed to find all the hidden spots on our own.
I really recomend Zaid as a 100% trustworthy guide and a real expert for Marocco - to everyone who is looking for a real experience.
Thank you Zaid, for everything!

“Amazing tour of Morocco - Marrakech to the desert to Fez”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2011

My favorite tour guide ever! I toured Morocco and Spain for 15 days last month and Zaid took me and a girlfriend for 4 days from the hot, busy city of Marrakech, thru the beautiful Atlas Mountains, to Ourzazate, then to Todre gorge and then to see the stunning desert landscape (on a camel named Bob Marley :) and then all the way to our Riad in Fez so we didn't have to fly. We went thru fascinating towns and villages, off the beaten path...and once we went to visit a caveman named Ali - Ali baba we named him lol - and to experience mint tea with him and his family in the cave. Who would have ever thought? It is experiences like that, and the incredible people along the way that make the lasting memories and that give the true flavor of Morocco and of a people which most travelers enjoy. If you are looking for a deeper (better, more individualized) experience than your typical tour group on a big bus being herded like cattle - book this instead. It is very reasonable for a private tour. I left Morocco having experienced so much more than if I hadn't had Zaid to guide me through it. He speaks very good English, and Spanish too (and he will teach you berber :). He is from the desert originally and truly wants his visitors to see the wonderful aspects of the desert that he is so proud of. That is an unforgettable part of the trip and I don't think anyone should visit Morocco and not see the Sahara desert. The color at sunset in incredibly beautiful and sunrise is amazing too. Sleighriding down sand dunes and star gazing in the desert is unforgettable! We would never have known to do that so having a guide who can create those memories and experiences for you is really a great way to go! Good food too - best salad in all of Morocco there. This tour showed us wonderful sights and allowed us to meet many really wonderful people along the way. Moroccans treated us like absolute queens - we were very spoiled ;) I would not have felt safe enough to rent a car and do this tour on my own, so booking it with Zaid is highly recommended to avoid the hassles of getting lost and for women especially, being in a foreign country traveling alone, it is the only way to go!! He was with us every step of the way and he catered to our every need, stopping whenever we needed to and also finding great (clean and modern) stops for us for espresso when I was tired or for a bathroom or to stop and take a picture; as well as giving us invaluable tips on everything from language to culture to shopping. We laughed and joked and talked about so many topics about America and Morocco and it made the drives very enjoyable (he has a nice 4wd and he uses it to baha to places you can't go in a car :). The scenery along the way is stunning at times and varies greatly. One final thing we did - Zaid took us to eat with his family and that was a great - very real experience which i appreciate as it was the only home I was in. Highly recommend!!
