“Traditional Marco food”

Easy going restaurant, good food and staff. We where met at one of gates by the staff who took us to the restaurant - otherwise it would have been hard to find. Best book in advance

“Definitely go!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

The food is traditional Moroccan and very good indeed! They provide a wide range of salads which could be a meal in itself! The main course was excellent and the quantity of food was way more than enough for me. Service was extremely attentive and the restaurant provides a guide from your hotel to the restaurant and back. I also dined at Dar Hatim, which deserves a high rating, but in my opinion Dar Touria is just as good. Highly recommended!

“Best meal in Morocco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2011

Dar Touria was amazing! The chicken pastilla, the salads, and the tagines were fantastic. The chef made me a special beef and carmelized pumpkin tagine that was phenomenal. Go hungry though because it's a ton of food and you won't want to miss anything!

“Delicious food in a great environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2011

Me and my wife were shown this restaurant by a shop owner near the end of the working day since he knew the owner of the restaurant, after we bought a couple blankets from him. We were very pleasantly surprised. We attempted to just order one meal to share but they told us it wasn't enough for two people, so we obliged and ordered for two. It turns out it was way too much food for us both to eat. They first served the "Salade marocaine variée", which was 12 individual items on small plates that included various types of beans and vegetables, all very flavorful. I had the Poulet au citron for my main dish (Citrus chicken), and it was great - the chicken was flavorful, not bland like the chicken I am used to in the US. My wife had the Couscus Fassi, which I also sampled. The vegetables were tasty and the couscous was moist and melted in your mouth. Next up they served us a sample of fruits of the season, which included apple, strawberry, and banana. Finally they served us the ubiquitous mint tea and "patisseries fassias", which were delicious crumbly coconut cookies. We left completely stuffed and smiling.

The ambience was very pleasant. The walls were decorated in tile and there were ornately decorated wood doors. The ceiling was high with a hanging light above. To the side was a nice trickling fountain. For about an hour a person serenaded us with guitar songs.

Just one caveat - the waiters don't know much English at all, so bring a phrasebook or something if you don't know French.
