“super nice manager in a super nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

We stayed in this pretty riad for two nights and it was superb. The hotel manager is very nice and helped us arranged guide and a restaurant. Both are great. We also dined at the hotel and it was excellent as well. the location is central and big parking outside, so it is good for ppl come with rental cars. We strongly recommend this riad.

“Surpassed Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Fabulous Riad. Service rivaled the best hotels, delicious food, comfortable accommodations. I cannot say enough great. Things about the staff. Very clean, quiet, and good location right on the edge of the Medina. I highly reccommend.

“You will not regret your choice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

A friend and I stayed in Riad Ahlam for 2 nights, in the beginning of Feb2013, and it was a great experience! The riad is super well located,"5 sec" away from the medina like another reviewer said. The room was the biggest we get in Morocco, considering we stayed at similar riads in another cities we visited, and also was very clean and warm. There is a terrace with a very beautiful view of Fes,
Most important to mention: the staff! Kacem (manager) was very helpful arranging a very nice guide in our first day, and also always helped us to take the taxis (since we are two girls travelling, this was really helpful).
My friend had a headache and we could not go out for dinner as we have planned, but Kacem could arrange a last minute dinner for us and even had apologizde for not offering the whole menu of the day!! It was very kind of him, since the riad asks to reserve the dinner during the morning so they can buy fresh food during the day,

Would definitely stay there again!

“Charm and comfort in Fes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Ahlam in December. We found the riad to be the perfect base from which to explore the enchanting city of Fes. Situated just a few steps away from the medina, Riad Ahlam captures the authenticity of the Moroccan riad better than most of the others we encountered during our trip.

From start to end, the owner and manager, Kacem, went out of his way to make us feel at home. It often seemed like he was in five places at once – on the phone arranging a medina tour, helping serve meals, making sure all the rooms are spic and span, walking us up to what surely must be the best rooftop in all of Fes. Kacem clearly takes great pride in managing the riad at a high standard, which we appreciated all the more from a Moroccan (as many of the riads are owned and operated by foreigners).

We stayed at the Rihane Suite, which spans one whole side of the building – more than enough space for three adults. The décor is at once chic and traditional, with deep wooden furniture and beautiful Moroccan textiles and extra touches. We didn’t hear any noise coming from outside the riad or the other guests, which wasn’t the case at the other riads we stayed at.

We would definitely recommend this comfortable, charming, value-for-money riad. And yes, you should definitely sign up for at least one dinner – it won’t be the only tanjine you’ll have in Morocco, but it will be the best!

The rooms are amazing! The people here are amazing! It's literally a 5 second walk from the medina! The rooms get cleaned every day! Breakfast comes with your room and it's a big breakfast, very filling. Overall you need to stay here if you are vacationing in Fes!!!
