The Riad was beautiful in fact amazing, but the rooms whilst good did not live up to the same standard as they were a little crowded for space. But as you spend most the time exploring the Medina this is not really an issue. The view from the terrace where you have breakfast is spectacular. People are very helpful and friendly. Great location.

The riad is beautifully decorated with staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They were able to organise a fantastic guide to show us around Fez one day, and arranged a wonderful day trip to Volubilis and Mekmes for us. We were certainly well looked after and the dinner on the two nights we dined in the riad was superb.

Fes is a wonderful, surprising and interesting city. I' ve spent there four days with my boyfriend and other friends, the hotel is very very nice but, in my opinion, it should be more clean and comfortable.

My wife and I liked very much our 3 day stay in the Riah Laayoun. It is very pretty, well maintained mansion. It was a pleasure to stay here after our 5 day tour from Marrakech to Fes. The location is fantastic, in the heart of the medina, just near the “place R’Cif”, very conveniently located for exploring the top places in Fes. We liked very much our Suite Saffron, the patio and the great terrace. The views from the rooftop terrace of the Fes-el-Bali are sweeping and gorgeous. You can see sunrise and sunset over the medina from here. We spent every free minute on the rooftop, relaxing, looking at gorgeous views.

But the most important is the home atmosphere in the riad. The owner Jean-Claude and Simo welcome us like a friends. They are wonderful, always ready to help, and answer your questions.

One of the nights we had dinner at the Riad, and it was outstanding! Thank you Rachida! We looked forward to breakfast on the terrace every morning. It was yummy!!

We highly recommend Riad Laayoun for your stay in Fes.

We had to change our dates several times at short notice and it was never a problem. We loved the Riad, location and friendly team. The meals were fantastic - some of the tastiest we had in Morocco. The service was always very friendly and we felt very comfortable to be there and spend time relaxing in the many nooks, reading and sitting areas. The experience was the highlight of our 2 week trip in Morocco.

Room Tip: The ground floor suite is not that private as it opens direct onto the courtyard, but still lovely...

Clean. Fun. Helpful. Safe. The best location & price. Most kindhearted staff I've ever experienced. Jean Claude is one of those people you only meet once in your life. The terrace view is breathtaking.
