“Only from outside.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

We visited the mosque when travelling from Marrakech to Tanger. We just entered the city for its visit. It is possible to drive until the seaside, park there and walk to the mosque. Parking on the street is 5Dh. As it was Friday, a special day in Islamic countries, the entrance to the mosque was limited. As only two guided tours were offered and we couldn't stay longer we just saw the mosque from outside. It is an impressive building, due to its height and size.

“Great architecture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

The exterior and interior details are quite intricate. The tour to go inside the mosque is quite expensive, especially when the guide has only limited information to share and you are given very limited time to enjoy the architecture. If you are a Muslim, however, it is free to get in during praying times.

“Worth a look”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

This Mosque is most impressive from the outside perched next to the wild ocean (it was a stormy day) I enjoyed the brief tour of the interior and baths. Probably the most worthwhile tourist attraction in Casablanca.

“The must see in Casablanca Morocco!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

Only walked around the out side of the Mosque, but it was very Beautiful and impressive architecture(visit the ground and exterior of the Mosque is FREE, tour inside requires a fee and scheduled time, which last for 1 hour). One of the few things that is worth spending the effort to see in this city. From the mosque ground(which is very wide and massive in space), you can have a view of the Atlantic Ocean and sea side view of Casablanca and the light house.

This city is NOT Rome, Paris, Beijing or London. You will find very few interesting sites to see(No National Museum or anything of this sort). The city is generally generic in appearance like most large crowded major city, if you ONLY have limited time for sightseeing; make this one for you.
