“I knew it was going to be bad”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2008

After reading the reviews for this hotel, who would actually stay here? We had a room booked at the JM Suites in town, which is a nice place. Our reservations got screwed up and we got kicked out and put in the Ramada. We adamantly objected, but somehow we ended up spending the night anyway. The rooms are dingy, the sheets are dreadful and feel starchy. I would not put any of their textiles near my body. Although, the bathroom was surprisingly tolerable. They need to do an overhaul and rip our the carpet, and toss all the bedding. Aside from that, the reception tried to mischarge us for several things. The only thing that was decent was breakfast. I can't even recommend staying one night.

We only stayed for one night in Casablanca and having read a lot of negative reviews for hotels we plumped for a branded hotel.

The hotel was pretty basic. The rooms were acceptable if a little gloomy. The location wasn't wonderful not being close to the station or the sites but was just about walkable to the medina but in fairness we knew that in advance.

The reception service was ok and the bar was pleasant enough if a little dated.

The restaurant though was the real let down. The atmosphere was not great and the service a little inattentive.

Some of the dishes on the menu were not available and it proved difficult to ascertain which ones they were without the waiter having to ask in the kitchen. The food that we had was poor and we both had upset stomachs that night.

In conclusion if we'd avoided the restaurant then our stay would have been ok but there were few restaurants in the vicinity which is why we ate there in the first place.

Rooms of acceptable size and accommodation. Food of acceptable standard. Staff down right rude and unhelpful until tour Rep intervened. Customers advised not to carry passports outside hotel.

I approached this Ramada with a degree of apprehension, given some of the previous reviews. I should not have been so concerned. Granted, it is more a 3 star, not a 4 star hotel but I didn't see the dive some people have complained about! The rooms were average-sized, had the basic requirements I needed. The breakfast was adequate - the usual sort of fare. The dinner (which was included in our tour one night) was perfectly adequate for carnivores - not so for veggies (like me) whose only hot choice was mixed veggies but that aside the salad selection was OK. We had lunch once while waiting for a tour bus and that was quite good. Beware, try to have the correct money in the restaurant. The staff tend to go in a tiz trying to make change!

The rooms were small and the buffet at the restaurant (that was included in our tour package) was sub-standard. The area where the hotel was situated did not feel safe either as it was in a remote part of the city.

Just arrived back yesterday, and had to tell anyone thinking of going to this hotel, not too bother. The hotel has been run down, the bathroom had mould growing everwhere, only one toilet roll allowed each day, not enough when you have a bad stomach, the beds and pillows smelt musty. The sunbeds around the pool were nearly all broken, and the mat for these stunk of sweat!.
The hotel was 95% full of french people, and the food was catered for them. It was edible, but if you didnt go when the restauant opened half of the food was gone and not replaced. The staff were not friendly and the difference in how they treated the french and the english guests were widely apparent. We went all inclusive but it didnt include cocktails and only lasted till 11pm in the bar, after that you paid.it also didnt include the Morocan restaurant or the Grill Bar, these came at a supplement. The safe in the room was only activated with a key from reception at a cost of roughly £10 for a week. It was rated as 4* when i booked but really its only 2*. I really have nothing good to say about my experience at this hotel.

The hotel was basic, the dining experience was the worst. The crockery was appalling broken and chipped, my dogs bowls are better. Some breakfast bowls had one or both handles missing. When there were plates there was no food and vice verca. The surrounding area was like a building site especially the path to the beach. After complaining as did most of the guests nothing improved. Altogether a poor holiday.
