I chose the hotel because of it's location near the train station. The convenience of the location is excellent. But the location also lends itself to a lot of noise. If you're looking for a quiet night sleep this isn't the place. The rooms are very nice and clean, but for the price of each room I expected them to have toothpaste and other small hygiene products. These weren't available in my room. This is a great hotel if you're looking for clean rooms, a hot shower, TV, all at a convenient location. But if you're looking for a hotel where you can pamper yourself a little, go elsewhere.

Staying at this hotel was a last minute decision. We chose the hotel because it was so conveniently close to Casa-Voyageurs train station. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet, but slightly overpriced if you don't have a big appetite.

Perfect location for a first night in Casablanca: next to station where you can catch a train to airport. Also next to tramlines, which go right across city . These qualities are also detriments because of NOISE!
So take the choice: I would choose ibis again for first/last night in "Casa". The hotel also has good food and helpful staff not to mention clean and spacious rooms.

Choosing a '100 meters from railway station hotel' one knows there will be noise from the trains - what one doesn't know (and what should be clear in the description of the hotel) is that Casablanca's largest "train shunting area" is in from of the hotel. We slept well though, but was NOT impressed with the hotel restaurant. It's perfectly alright not to be able to serve anything else than chicken ... but then please don't show a menu of 12-16 other things and abslutely don't wait to tell the guests before it's to late (and don't pretend it's perfectly alright to do so). To add insult to this, there's really no decent amount of meat in the servings - especially when one looks af the price. What happens to the not-sticking-to-bones meat part of the chicken I really don't know (apart from the small pieces found in the ridicioiusly small servings sold - and priced - as 'sandwich' in the bar at lunch). 'Snack' would be a more appropriate term (but then you can't charge 55 MAD each, can you?). The wine was good - a great Moroccan one - as was the bread.

We came away with the impression of a staff that should be admired for the long hours they work, but of an overall level that does NOT live up to what one should expect from the Ibis Group, which lends it name to the hotel. Whether this is a question of poor management at the hotel or the greed of an Ibis-partner I don't know, but Ibis owes it to it's name - and it's customers - to make changes. Jan / Copenhagen
