“Flamenco and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Flamenco and good food in the city centre. I go there everytime I visit Casablanca. There are always a lot of people there, and everybody are happy!

“Good place to hangout”

Good food, nice athmosphere. Selection of wine are excellent, waiters are superbly professional. Nice music, service are fast and manager would go around checking the quality of food.

“La bodega..worst place in town”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

As a native Moroccan who lives in the United States, I was extremely disappointed by "La Bodega", not only is it over priced, but the service is the worst I've ever experienced. The manager of the restaurant is clueless about what service excellence means. I would recommend avoiding this place which happens to be in a shady/unsafe part of town.

“Worth a Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

This a place you go to for the ambience and atmosphere. You would not particularly go there for the food; nor, becessarily, for the drinks - all beers, local and imported, are expensive by local standards, cocktails even more so, and the list of wines is limited, with a tendency to be on the pricey side. Half bottles are offered, which is a plus.
To begin with, you are welcomed into the restaurant by an attractive and helpful young lady, or young man. A selection of breads, and breadsticks, is offered - these come with little pots of green olve paste, and black olive paste.
If you are "tanjined-out" from your travels in Morocco then there are some unusual choices on the reasonably-extensive menu: assiette de jambon, oysters from Oualadia, crevettes pil pil (rather boring), chicken fajitas, etc.
I visited this establishment at a lunchtime, so there was no music at that time; but I can envisage that it could get quite lively, and quite crowded and noisy, in there at special times, particularly in the weekend.
One note of caution: this place is not located in a particularly solubrious part of town: it is alongside the remains of what is the Marche Central, and there are some dodgy characters hanging around at all hours. There is a doorman/security person.
In summary, worth a visit, from time to time, perhaps with a small group of people,
