“All about charm (and a great breakfast)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

This treditional charming hotel in the city center is a good overnight option.
It looks like a small "moroccan palace"...
Rooms are kind of basis but gives you a local good feeling.
Front desk staff are very nice and helpfull.
Breakfast is really GREAT ! The best so far I had in Morocco !

The front desk were a bit uninviting. The room was decent compared to other accommodation we had been assigned in tours. It had a draped 4-poster bed and traditional decor. A very firm bed though only a double. Bathroom was an ok size with shower in bath which was a bit old and had the dreaded curtain although water pressure was good and it stayed hot. A safe is included but no batteries in it. Wi-Fi was free and quite good. Our room faced the street with the gothic style stone building adjacent. Not sure if a nightly thing but there was a wedding celebration on both the Friday and Saturday nights with a sound system to rival a New York block party going well in to the early morning – thankfully we were pretty tired so were not too disturbed – unless you count the couple going at it 4am style – the girl from room 42, your theatrics are unrivalled. Breakfast just adequate – staff seem a little disinterested but if you ask you could enjoy an omelette and there is tea and coffee, juice etc. The figs, dates and olives seemed like quality fresh local produce. Otherwise loads of breads and the standard baked Moroccan sweets.

I think a lot of people spend just a night or two in Casablanca on their ways to other Moroccan towns. I definitely recommend the Moroccan House - for the price, but also the location. It was my introduction to Morocco's decor & I loved it. My bed was beautifully made and had a lacy canopy. The bathroom was a bit small, but good enough. Staff were friendly & helpful. Everything was clean and well-cared for. Breakfast is heavy on the breads, but good. I would stay here again.

So, we were not fans of Casa, and just here for a night - so, this hotel was fine as it was convenient and not expensive and would have been a shame to waste money on a hotel here when we wanted to spend as little time as possible here. The decor was a little over the top, but it was clean and safe. Our room had 2 twin beds with these strange pictures welded to them (which, in the middle of the night were spooky to look at and sticking out into the bed so be careful!) - but no complaints other than that, and it was quiet at night. The bathroom was basic. Breakfast was quite a lot of food, although a lot of it was pastries. The staff here were all pleasant and friendly. We didn't feel comfortable walking around Casa at night, this is probably a few blocks from where all of the cool art deco buildings are and during the day that walk was fine. This was pretty inexpensive, so I can't really complain about this hotel - and would recommend it if you just need a place to stay here.

A friend and I were in Casablanca and trying to find somewhere to stay for one night. We happened upon the Moroccan House Hotel and took refuge. Our room was adequate and clean but the beds were rather hard and not particularly comfortable. The cost was quite high we thought and this was certainly the most expensive hotel we stayed in in Morocco. The breakfast buffet was rather poor and the service distinctly lacking. We had dinner at a restaurant directly opposite the hotel and this was certainly not to be recommended either. I don't think we will return to Casablanca anytime soon and would not chose the Moroccan House Hotel if we did.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the road at the front as the traffic noise can be troublesome.

The hotel is located at a good location and all the tourist sites within walking distance. Restaurants and tram trains can be accessed within a 5-10 min walk. It is also easy for taxi drivers to find.
The room is clean and spotless. The washroom shower worked well and had hot water.
The breakfast is a buffet with lots of choices.
The staff is very helpful, polite and courteous. The receptionist can speak English very well. P.S. special thanks to Mukhtar for making our stay great.

The room was sizable, and it seemed to be located in a decent, busy area of Casablanca, but our non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke (even after opening a window to air it out during the day). I can't speak to the value, though, because we stayed here as part of a tour.
