Based on some of the previous reviews, we were prepared for the worst. But there aren't many budget places that we could find online, so we thought we would give it a shot. The front desk staff were very pleasant and made their best attempt to fit us in, despite the fact that we didn't have a reservation. We stayed in a family room which was very basic, but met all our needs. The bathrooms had really hot water and most importantly - water pressure. In fact, this hostel had the best showers that we experienced during our entire two weeks. Breakfast is very simple - bread and jam, tea or coffee - not that filling for us. We checked out the hotel down the road, which is twice the price, and the rooms are much nicer, but we are on a budget. The surrounding area is under construction, but offers cheap places to eat, 10 minutes to Hassan II Mosque, 10 minutes to center of town, and you are basically inside the Medina. For us, it was a very pleasant stay in Casablanca. And best of all, no one bothers you to buy stuff in the Medina.
