“Great Fried Fish at a Great Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

We had been to the apocalyptic Morocco Mall and were facing a lunch of 50 euros a head on the Corniche. Khalid asked a taxi driver for a maatam chaabi (home style restaurant). We were dropped off at Snack Amine.

If you're looking for elegant dining, this is not the place. If you're ready for a super helping of a mixed fried fish platter, come here and dig in. For 125 dirhams for two, we ate our fill and then some, bread and charmoula (dipping sauce) included. There were several varieties of whole fried fish with a mound of calamar and shrimp on top.

The scene is a whirlwind at lunch time, so don't get upset if you have to ask twice for a Fanta. It's not the Ritz, but great value, and IT IS THE REAL MOROCCO. You're visiting the almost third world, for heaven's sake!

“Fresh fish at good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

A well known spot for seafood, high turnover means the fish is always fresh - I have eaten here a few times and it is always reliable.

Various fried and grilled seafood options are available, also a couple of tagines. We usually go for a mixed platter which is great value. Portions are large and comes with bread, olives and dipping sauces.

Located just near Marche Centrale tramway station - there are other good value eating options in this area.

“Back again...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

How can you go wrong with a fried assorted fish platter for two including prawns maybe a kilo plus of fish plus bread, dipping sauce and fish soup for LESS than $17 !! Not per person but total. To be honest other than the plain grilled whole fish the rest of the menu is really not worth chasing. See. My earlier post from last year.... Look forward to the next visit to Casa and Snack Amine.

“Excellent food and resonably priced!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

I went to Amine 3 times in the last 4 days, and I can say I was not dissapointed with the food, service or atmoshpere. You get free olives, bread and some sort of tomato sauce ( one is quite spicy). Menu is mostly fish based, but you can also serve chicken recepies, salads, pizza, sandviches, fries, besides the fish dishes.
Today we had 1 Pastella, 1 Fried calamari , and a big bottle of water, for 130 dirhams. Portions are big , we were not able to finish them.

Don't hesitate to go!
