“Dissapointed with rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

We booked a family room with garden view thru lastminute.com.when we arrived we were allocated to room overlooking the street. We asked for a different room and they were nice enough to give us different option.unfortunetly the next day we noticed that we have ants bites as there was a lot of them in every corner of the room. Family room is a one room with one double and one single room so we decided that we will look for another hotel mainly because of the room and lack of privacy as we were sharing small space with teenage daughter. Otherwise the hotel have lots of amities. Two pools mini golf tennis etc. you don't have to even leave the resort as there are little shops with souvenirs and resident camel the Chocolate. Overall if you not that fused about rooms this place will be for you.

Went to the Carabbean Village in mid April for 1 week. The holiday cost about 2,200 for 5 of us and for that price you would be pushed to find a better deal. The 2 roomed apartment was as previous reviews have stated, dated but were kept very clean by the maid. The food was what you would expect for the price, there could be queues at busy periods but if you get yourself sorted with where to go to get items it is not a hassel, as others have said the omelette man is good. There were several themed restaurants (all set courses) the pizza and steak were ok but nothing special but the Moroccan restaurant is well worth a visit. The animation team are what made the holiday for us doing a great job keeping everyone entertained. My kids all want to back and as we do go quite a few holidays this says something about this place and we will be going back. Best advise I could give anyone is tip little and often and you will receive very good service. Also the hotel has a private area on the beach a couple of mins away from the hotel, well worth a visit as it is a really great beach.

Arrived late Thursday a week ago and within 5 minutes was offered weed and nearly pick pocketed. Check in process lengthy. English is bad was given wrong room at hotel(also had no towels or toilet paper)changed after a day then had original room made keep Harassing us for towels from original room she kept coming back had to complain to rep(hateem he vas very good). Food repetitive and basic- a small tip goes along way £1 a day and they will lay table bring drink etc no tips and u have to do yourself. Hotel itself ok lots of pools.shops in hotel about 3 times price of local shops so get out and about! Overall a disappointment vs Tunisia( stayed twice before)

On arrival the check in was painfully slow and we didn't get into our room until 1 in the morning. When we got to our room it wasn't the right room we had paid more for a family room with 5 beds but it only had 4,also it was on the 3rd floor with no lifts and our children are disabled so not much help. Once we struggled up to the room discovered there was no toilet roll or towels so I went down to reception to ask for some. They didn't speak very good English and just kept saying no toilet roll. No towels. I eventually got some toilet roll from the public toilet in the bar. As we had a meeting with the rep in the morning we decided to make do until then as it was now 2am and had very tired children. Next morning we saw our rep who was fantastic. He got us moved there and then and said a cleaner would come to clean the new room. So we moved our stuff into the new room and went out. Four hours later the room still had not been clean. So my husband went to chase this up as we couldn't unpack or take a shower. Finally 3 hours later it was cleaned with towels and toilet roll, great we could then start our holiday. Two hours later maid knocks on our door u need to give me towels from your last room. Tried explaining we never got towels but she didn't believe us and told us we need to pay. Traipsed down to reception and they said nope don't worry we know you didnt have towels. So that should have been the end but next day same thing happened and maid got really angry at us, spoke to the rep and he said he would speak to the hotel and get it sorted. Next day same thing. We finally did get it sorted but it was a major pain in the backside. Good points nice pools, pretty grounds. The entertainment was cheesy but ok. Japanese a l carte was nice. Other a I cartes were disappointing. The main buffet restaurant was ok but got repetetitive, breakfast was omlettes, yoghurt, cheese ham. Croissant chocolate croissant and pancakes and doughnuts, I did find on the 4th day some hidden sausages. I like my cocktails and was disssapointed the hotel only did one cocktail, beach is a five min walk from the back of the hotel. Never used kids club so don't know what that was like. My kids enjoyed the mini disco. I wouldn't go back which is a Shame,. Nice week away in the sun but stayed is much better

Room Tip: The hotel is not disabled friendly at all so if travelling with small children or mobility impaired...

Booked Morocco and The Caribbean Village for myself and my 2 daughters and we were not disappointed. What we got was a lovely family holiday in the sun the entertainment staff were great and tried there best to involve everyone during the day and at night. Most of the waiting staff were nice and friendly without expecting a tip best one was the omelette man. The food was better then we thought it would be with a good range of different things to eat. The bar round by the show room can get very busy at night so i found a small tip every other night made sure you got served very quickly at every visit. The resort has beautiful well kept gardens, pools, bars, tennis courts, crazy golf, a kids play area and a lovely camel onsite called chocolate. The worse part of the holiday for us was the room and seems to be a common thing with the rooms needing a major revamp, if you take a trip to the beach then expect to be hassled to buy things but once you say no they do leave you alone and its a lovely beach and worth going there. If you have time then the trip up to The Atlas Mountains is well worth a day out.

Hello, does anyone know if this hotel is air conditioned? I have read many reviews from tour operators but it doesn't mention anywhere that the rooms are air conditioned. Could someone please clarify before I book.

We arrived to torrential rain, that in its self was not a problem but the rain came flooding in under the door soaking the room. We had to put our beach towels down stem the flow of water.
Apparently this is a regular occurrence when it rains.

Went for a shower and the shower head fell off and hit me in the face. The tiles where risen and broken.

Whilst brushing my teeth the light fittings fell out of the ceiling and smashed in the sink.

The telephone did not work, so had to go to reception each time. The receptionists apparently did not understand English very well and would send us to the other desk who would then send us back to the first desk. Unless you spoke French or Arabic they weren't interested.

The pool was full of dead flies and debris. The only cleaning that I witnessed was the lifeguard on two occasions picked out plastic cups.

All of our party of four came down with DIARRHOEA AND VOMITING !

They only good thing about this place was the waiters and domestic staff where on the whole very nice.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor are prone to flooding. Rooms facing the road are very noisy.
