Pros first -

A cheap all inclusive holiday via Thomsons so we got what we paid for

Great charter flight from/to Gatwick. 6 of 7 days great weather

Hotel a bit tired but rooms clean and adequate. Almost all the staff were very helpful and most spoke some English though being an ex-French colony Arabic and French were the main languages. The 'heated' pool really was heated unlike some resorts, warmer in the morning strangely. Plenty of food available. The beach was a short walk away and nice sand and a shallow sea with nice breakers for body surfing. The hotel has its own roped off beach area with sunloungers and shades. The crazy golf course was the best I have played on.

Cons - food a bit bland and reptitive, bar service rather slow.

The main entertaiment [aka animations] area is by the main pool in the open air. Our original flat was in direct line with the loudspeakers and only 50 yards away. The start of activities was 9.00am with step classes - no problem. The main entertainment was 8.00pm to 10.00pm after which a beautiful quiet descended on the complex and we got the kids asleep and fell asleep ourselves. AT 11.00PM INEXPLICABLY THEY STARTED THE ENTERTAINMENT AGAIN LASTING THROUGH TO MIDNIGHT!!!! Loudspeakers going full blast so we [and presumably everyone else] got woken up until they finished. As the Thomson rep was unhelpful we approached the hotel for a room move and they were excellent moving us the same day to a quieter room though we still heard the late night music clearly. After midnight the resort was very quiet again.

Cool at night at this time of year. Take a coat.

Our advise - GIVE THIS RESORT A MISS IF YOU LIKE AN GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP.

Room Tip: Block 21 is in direct line of fire from the loudspeakers.

After only reading the comments on here after booking we went with some trepidation.

All unfounded as we had a great 10 days and for what we paid (£35 pppn all incl.) it was a very good deal and we definitely got more than we paid for. Booked direct with hotel. The only downside was that we had booked during half term but we seemed to be at the quieter end of the resort (near reception)

This is Africa and not Benidorm and it seems that some people need to be more aware about cultural differences and styles of service in different countries. It was a French colony after all so the combination of the two will not produce speed or efficiency !! :-)

The rooms are dated but VERY clean and our maid service was excellent. The rest of the hotel was clean and tidy. The market traders were friendly and funny. Persistent but respectful, after all they don't want to lose their valuable pitch in the hotel.

Food wise the 'themed' restaurants were a bit hit and miss with Moroccan takes on Japanese food leaving something to be desired but the main buffet restaurant had fresh salads and foods every day although much amusement caused by Brits moaning about no bacon.

If we need a cheap all inclusive package again we will come back.

My husband, son and I visited this hotel last August and it saddens my heart to read other people saying the staff are rude and unhelpful.
During our stay the staff could not be more helpful, friendly and charming. The Moroccans love the English and as far as I could see the only reason they would be rude to one is if they were treated badly themselves. They have a hard life, work long hours for little pay and live for their tips so its not sensible for them to be rude. They know the English are polite and friendly and love us for it. Before visiting I would not have believed that we are probably the most polite nationality but others such as our European counterparts proved every day that we are.
I was taken ill halfway thro our 2 week stay and the maid and waiters went out of their way to look after me and make sure I got better.
Yes its a 3 star hotel but you get what you pay for. If you want 5 star luxury then go to a 5 star hotel.
The only criticism we had was when we ventured outside the complex on our own. The local taxi drivers cant wait to take you for a ride literally.
If you live by the rule of treat others how you want to be treated then you wont go wrong!

Just back from here, great weather good friendly people but.

hotel is clean and tidy, very dated but still clean , reception staff very slow on arrival for checking in but good porters taking our luggage to and from the rooms (need tipping though)
Hotel grounds good, various pools two are heated the main pool is freezing but it has the main entertainment for the day and night, Entertainment staff very pushy to get you to join in but if you say no a few times they tend to leave you alone. Slow service at the main bar soft drinks and alcohol. If you want alcohol and a soft drink you have to go to two seperate bars!
good salon massages are lovely staff dont speak much english but that helps with relaxation.
Food - very continental so if you go expecting a fry up - no chance they do however have hundreds of croissants and the chef does a mean omelete and fried egg. No normal bread available all french stick and rolls, soups are good for lunch but main meals not very varied and plain. Waiters will be very slow at taking away plates etc too.
Stalls around the hotel - be prepared to be hassled by stall holders (in a nice way though) if you are not interested keep walking! haggle haggle is the key to buying in Morrocco if they give you a price you go a lot lower..
Nice wood ornaments to take home though.
Beach no one told us that the hotel had a private bit on the beach which is a 5 min walk at the back of the hotel crossing a busy ish road but lovely clean sand and nice waves (not warm in the sea though) the beach area for the hotel is located on the left hand side as you walk down to the marina. Only soft drinks available and no food so be prepared to make sandwiches - toilet wise you have to walk down the marina for a few minutes and pay the man a dirham to use..

This hotel is not bad and i dont want to moan about it as its 3 star so i went there with an open mind and was pleasantly suprised, the only thing that i was disappointed about was the breakfast and the staff not being very quick.

We took two tours whilst there we went to Mini Sahara and Tiznit where you eat a Taguine in a Morrocan house which was lovely, the second was Atlas mountains brilliant views, We used Anns Tours which were fantastic we had emailed before we left and made contact when we arrived, if you walk out the front of hotel back to main road turn left walk down towards english pub which is on the right keep following the road and anns tours is just past there up lots of steps. good service and good price, we hired Anns and had a vehicle and driver for just our family.

Other points about the holiday, we enjoyed it thoroughly and would def go back to Morrocco maybe not the hotel as we have fussy eaters in a our family ..
please go open minded and if you can speak French a major bonus...
room wise please dont have 3122 as this was by the nightclub so on a thur and fri and sat it was noisy.
just one last thing ....take a torch in case of powercuts

Visited this hotel, 14th feb for a week. Food poor, service poor from most of staff. No good for prams and disabled due to the amount of steps to get around the complex. Personally would not recommend this hotel. Plastic spoons that snap when trying to eat puddings. Some of the staff were really helpful but most were rude and ignorant. Pay extra and go to the Riu.
