“Don't leave the comfort of your home to stay here”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Such a disappointing experience quite nieve to hotel abroad didn't no about reviews research in depth to avoid going on a plane and being heartbroken when stepping out of taxi. Flat like I let my whole family Down to of booked this via on the beach. What a huge mistake and regret that's the past but for people who plan this for the future jus don't even waste your time and mess up your holiday experience to a country that entertainment is not the best so your hotel has to add to your trip big time. Visited 2011 July no refurbishment done I think since so must still be outdated scornful and dull

Room Tip: Don't jus avoid wasting time

Stayed here for one week in July. Website advertised fridge, kettle an hairdryer..... Didnt get any of this! Had to pay to use the safe. Telephone and lamp in room did not work. Advertised a snack bar also, which is always closed and you struggle to buy a bottle of water from hotel. Breakfast was poor. Staff soon picked up a pair of shorts which fell off balcony and outside laundry room. Never to be seen again! I think this was probably a nice hotel once upon a time but so tired and worn out. The pool area was the best part about the hotel. Do not go to this hotel if you are planning on spending lots of time in it!

Misconception if you look at the pictures on here, as this hotel is referred to as 'where men bring back ladies of the night' by a fellow Moroccan who advised my to leave and book somewhere else.
The hotel is beyond what i could imagine and this is the 'hotel from hell'. I was appalled that Gold Travel a London based agent even suggested this hotel in the first place!!! I was disgusted at how much of a poor standard this hotel is and yet its open to the public. The pictures are very deceptive. I too read all the reviews a few days prior to coming here but still had the perception that one persons view varies from another.....I should have taken more heed. ALWAYS READ THE REVIEWS. This hotel does have potential and needs more investment and completely renovated to meet the standards as i was advised it was a 3 - 4 star hotel. It barely meets basic standards, and i hate to imagine what i would have been sleeping with. The pool was half full and there was no ambiance with fellow guest in the reception area, actually the hotel was dead. I complained to the rep and after 6 hours of calls and emails later i checked myself into another hotel that was located only a stones throw away from the beach! Atlas Al Mohads!! This is highly recommended.

This hotel is good value for money. We had a very good deal.
The hotel is a bit old fashioned and needs to be restyled but on the other hand it has kept its authentic atmosphere. Location is good.

Only thing which I need to mention is that the maid steals chargers of iphones. so lock your charger away when you are not in your room!

Just returned from a one week stay at this hotel.Having a budget to keep to and by reading all previous reviews, we 'knowingly' booked this hotel but did not expect it to be so bad. It says somewhere its a 3***...its not. more like a 2** (i'm being generous).

We stayed bed a breakfast and the breakfast was a disgrace. It was buffet style..It consisted of cold croissants, hard rock bread, and mini bagettes. No toasters. Some butter and some syrup, jam and honey in bowls. There was cold hard boiled eggs and some cucumbers and tomatoes and olives.. No fruit available (although I saw orange trees on the hotel grounds) Drinks consisted of tea or coffee, left brewing in flasks..no other drinks available unless you paid for them (we just ended up taking a pre-filled bottle of coca cola in with us every morning for our young daughter)

A lie in was more benefical to me and my family than getting up for this joke of a breakfast. Even the stray cats would turn their noses up at the food.

The hotel is very dated, the rooms are ok-ish, standard but dated. The tv is about 20 years old..we had no remote in ours and the only English speaking channel was MBC 2 which just showed movies. it provided some relief as there wasn't much else to do in the hotel. The in- room safe didn't look very safe at all. (was broken). The balcony was so tiny and unsecure that your neighbours could peer into your room from their balcony.

The bathroom was ok-ish given the age of the place.. but could have done with a thorough clean. The bed sheets were not changed once in the week we stayed..just made up. Clean towels were provided but they did't smell so fresh..(they need to change their detergent)

The hotel has wifi but its only 'stong' enough in the lobby and I had to walk around with my iphone for a bit to pick up a signal.

The pool seemed to be cleaned every day as the caretaker was out every morning with his net picking up all the dead flies and leaves...however the pool was cold and my daughter only managed a day in the kiddy pool once the sun was blazing down in that part of the pool.

There was no on-sight entertainment inthis hotel.

If you are looking for a cheap bed to sleep on on a budget then bare this place in mind..but only if you intend to eat out and stay out to keep yourselves entertained.

Locaton wise, the hotel looks to be near some office buildings of some sort. So bare in mind the noise and congestion during office hours. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away and the bird park is about a 5 minutes away... the uni-prix is also a 5 minute walk away. good to get bottled water and juices and drinks at fixed prices.

As a hotel this place is laughable, bullet points as i will be here all day!
no diet drinks kept on site
no ice
use of pool is limited due to personal body strenght.aka getting out!
the rooms are dirty (even the bidet hadnt been cleaned)
our sheets weren't changed once in 10 days
ants nest in the flower pot on the balgony
over flow pipe dripping on balcony from rooms above
towels are grey and have holes in them
the sunloungers are brittle and most are broken
the lawns are not cut
(i wish i could up load the pictures but it wont let me)

the lady at reception is lovely but dont be fooled when booking trip haggle she gets her cut as they all do its like a chain sales game, as for the resturant staff lol they are rude and miserible. the manager only pays you lip service if you complain, although he couldn't be nicer whilst he is doing it.

as for the food well if you liked school dinners back in the 70's you might be ok its flavourless reheated stuff and small but i know that is cos what is left the staff get to eat!

i have nothing nice to say about this hotel unless you need somewhere to stay over night or as a base and be out all day everyday.
oh and half board doesnt include any drinks at all they are all extra!

Coming in this hotel you fell good. Thinking everything will be well, you find so much disappointment. It's with tree stars but deserve less then two. Rooms are noise and as mine, on first flour have to be with close door of balcony. The smell in room was bad because of it. Possibility to come someone in room from other near by is big. Only low wall is between balcony of rooms. I didn't change room as many other gust did, even I had water on flour in bathroom. The sink was cork. After a half of hour it was adjust, but during next five days it was cork again and again.
Breakfast is story by itself. So pour breakfast I eat only in Greece 15 years ago. Except a pretty lady on reception, who worked alone, other staff was far away of politeness. In fact I blame myself, because I made reservation before I read about this hotel at pages of TripAdvisor.

Room Tip: ask for higher flour and away of street
