It was an amazing hotel,I travelled with my wife and young children so found the family junior suite was perfect. The staff especially the entertainment staff seemed geniunely happy to make you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The sunbeds were probably the best i have had at a hotel BUT if you want a good position or bed be prepared to get your money out of your pocket to tip the pool guy as he will reserve them for you,it took me a couple of days of my hard earned holiday to work out what was going on and how did the french and italians manage to have the best beds around the pool and not even surface and use them till MID afternoon,NOT GOOD!!!!! the food was excellent but as mentioned on other reviews if i wanted to be picky of which i am not i would improve breakfast but if you remember you are in morocco and not england you can except the lack of a fry up lol my total honest summary of this hotel is that i will return as it was a fantastic experience.

Room Tip: family junior suite

Just returned for a week at the Tikida Beach which included my Birthday. Hotel provided a lovely arrangement of roses, voucher for champagne in the restaurant and a cake. The Manager even rang to wish me a Happy Birthday. The only down side was when I asked for a quiet room was given a beautiful room (above the disco). I was so tired that I didn't hear the noise but my partner didn't get to sleep until 5 am. We changed rooms the next day to a room that wasn't to the same standard but was adequate. The food at night in the restaurant could not be bettered but lunch and breakfast could be improved with additional choices. All in all though we had a lovely time, met some nice people and the entertainment team tried their very best, always having a smile and a chat. Luv Rui Hotels but would most likely would go somewhere different.

Room Tip: Any room beginning with 200 should be avoided!!!

We returned this January for the fifth time to the Tikida. What a wonderful welcome we got from all the staff who had no trouble remembering us from our previous visits. What is so nice is that the staff remain the same year after year. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for a winter holiday (never been there in the summer so cannot comment on the summer rush). They have the nices buffet restaurant I have seen. Food is beautifully displayed and the chef and kitchen staff are always looking to talk to the guests and trays are never empty. Staff are really friendly and obliging. Must say however that the French who are the majority of guests do tip them all the time which does account for the extra special service they get. They even tip the pool boy who then lays out their beds with clean towels every day. However you can either join in and tip - very small amounts, or not there are still plenty of beds at this time of year not to worry. Heated pool could be a little more heated but that is a small defect. Rooms and hotel are spotless and rooms large and airy. There are two English news channels and an english speaking movie channel. Very tranquil during the day as a lot of guests are out plauying golf. The authorities are really building up Agadir and it will be crowded in a few years. Give it a go you will loe it

Room Tip: If you want a pool or sea view you must book it with your agent. On no account accept rooms at the...

We went early feb 2012, my boyfriend and I. We went for a quiet break in the sun. The only disappointment we found with this hotel was the room they put us in first, it was in the 4000 block (room number 4012), the block is based right next door to the room where the entertainment is put on in the evening, if you decide you want an early night there is no chance of you sleeping until atleast 11.30, when the music stops. We asked to move rooms the next day, which was no problem.

The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, without ever pestering you or being over bearing. They had live music in the early evening for entertainment in the lobby bar, and the animation team put on good performances later in the founty bar. 5/5

There was a variety of food every day, which was nice for what it is. No complaints there and no stomach upsets or anything. 5/5

The weather wasn't great, 2 days it was totally cloudy, and even when the sun was out if there was a breeze it felt quite cold. However, we did manage to tan and a windblock helps prevent the effects of the wind. This also means you can't go in the outdoor pools as the water is freezing. 3/5

The rooms were very clean, they were kept tidy by the maids to a good standard. No complaints 5/5

Overall a very enjoyable holiday, would definitely recommend it to anyone else. If we were to go back we may consider going a different month when the weather is going to be slightly better!

Room Tip: Don't accept a room in the block near the Founty bar if you want early/quiet nights. (4000+)

I went here last summer with a friend and we had a great time. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a great view from the balcony. The food was yummy. There were 2 a la carte restaurants open in the eveing as well as the main one and you could use them as often as you liked. The Moroccan one served really tasty food. Plus it meant you could eat in less busy surroundings. The entertainment was really good in the lobby early evening. The animation team were remarkably talented. Lots of fun.
Facilities in the hotel were of a very high standard.
The one drawback was the mist in the morning. Sun came out really late morning or sometimes eary afternoon. I am not sure if we were unlucky last year but I do know someone else went there later in August and they had the same disappointing weather.

I have stayed at this hotel twice
First time the food was better than second time.
All-inc RIU hotel standards -
food 7:00-22:00
Drink 10:00-23:45
Entertainment was ok but basic
Staff ok except reception staff who were rude

Think if I returned again I'd rather try the Bigger Riu nextdoor
