“Great Location but rooms very dated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Pros: Fresh orange juice, omelettes, and pancake for breakfast; Excellent animation team for the kids (Thank you to Souad for saving our holiday as my daughter loved being with you in the mini club and mini disco), Beautiful gardens, Pool area nice and plenty of sun beds.
Cons: No food or drinks allowed from outside the hotel - my husband was stopped and was told he could not take the bottles of water from outside the hotel - very disappointing on the first day (He was allowed just that one time), Dinner did not have much variety -very limited for a 4*. Dessert was disappointing - very similar menu every day. Drinks to buy were far too expensive. bottle of water 4dhs outside but 25dhs inside! We had mosquitoes in our room- so would advise taking plenty of repellants. At dinner time, we had to show them our dinner tickets which was quite annoying. The furniture is very dated in rooms, mattresses hard. Not a 4* hotel. And we only had one room key. I was surprised to see the hotel still using the old key system- no cards!

Room Tip: Get a room near reception with pool view

+ great location with direct beach access (you only have to cross the promenade), freshly pressed orange juice and omelettes for breakfast, nice garden and pool area - they manage to hide the fact that this is a really large hotel, AC working well, TV: ZDF, RTL
- not sound proof at all - you can hear your neighbours playing chess, bad cocktails, extra fees for safe (20 MAD per day), the old fridge flooded the room in the first night, you are not allowed to bring outside food or drinks - but I never saw somebody really checking this, no elevator

Dear Guest
we are delighted that you enjoy the most of our service. For safe as you know where you go in the world there are always loads, as long as the hotel offers services related to food and drinks so you do not see the need to bring them elsewhere. For the bar know that we are working in this direction in order to avoid such incidents
We still want to wish you well coming among us at the Beach Club

I was staying here for a week in August. The hotel was lovely and the staff were lovely especially Mettdi one of the animation team. He was very kind and lovely to talk to you. I would highly recommend people to stay in this hotel.

Very bad start to this holiday. We arrived tired & we our bags but as we arrived on a Sunday at 3pm their was only 1 porter working thus we had to wait in the midday sun with all our luggage. After 20 minutes i just took the matter into my hands & brought the luggage into the hotel.

The security at the time was very unhelpful & the reception desk where even worse.

our room was not even ready even though check in was 1pm.

The hotel looks grand & i appreciated the facilities.

the actual room was basic & old.

But as we just wanted a beach holiday it was perfect location / setting for it.

The staff in general could be more nicer / helpful especially the reception staff

But the cleaning staff where wonderful.

Hotel common rooms are very nice but bedrooms look very tired, bedrooms over looking the tennis courts are to be avoided, the one we had was dark and smelt very musty and damp, the outside foliage was encroaching onto the small balcony and there was no outlook. Hotel reception not helpful to move us or to assist with booking tours or contacting our non existence rep. Location good for the beach and if you want to live in the hotel they provide obscene amounts of food. Evening entertainment is dull and Agadir is a soulless modern tourist resort with little to offer.

Room Tip: We had a few nights in Marrakech staying in the Riad Angsana Bab which was great (Riad Angsana Siad...

WE went to this hotel for 2 weeks with my family. Just want to say this hotel was the biggest we ve ever been to....there were 900 guests so breakfast was a little crowded. it took ages to get the orange juice and then the eggs etc...this was the only setback though. We had a lovely time and the food manager Mr Ibrahim was very helpful . Whatever time of the day he saw us, he always greeted us politely. He always shook hands with my kids , which made them feel very important and happy.
Also just want to mention Medi and Souad out of the entertainment team---they were amazing. They really made us feel welcome and joined us for lunch, which made us feel very much at 'home'.
It was a pleasure and we would like to return again .

First of all I'm sorry I haven't written this review sooner. I have just been so Busy settling kids back to school that I haven't had a chance !

I cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough !

I stayed at the Agadir Beach Club hotel for a week in July this year with my husband and 2 children, Jack who's 12 and Sophie who had just turned 9. We had what they called a Family Suite there. It was perfectly adequate space wise and was kept spotlessly clean ! Towels were changed twice a day and sheets also changed very regularly. It consisted of a double bed in one room and 2 sofa type beds for the kids in the living area. We had a very large balcony with 2 sunloungers on it and also a table and chairs, the balcony had the most amazing views overlooking the magnificent private beach and the promenade. You could just sit there for hours watching all the locals and tourists alike going along doing their day to day activities and listen to the sea lapping in and out and the best thing ever was to sit there and watch the most beautiful sunset ever :)

Moving on to the hotel's common areas, all were kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and you could see that they are constantly updating and maintaining the Hotel. Yes the hotel is old and the décor could be seen as dated but you have to remember that this is Morocco !!! If you want American/ English / Irish décor go visit there lol ! The hotel is decorated lavishly in typical Moroccan style which for me added to the authenticity of the place ! It's not modern, it's Moroccan and that's exactly what is there ! It's spotlessly clean and that is my priority over modern décor any day !

The pool area is amazing and once again super clean. The pool is enormous and sunbeds are provided for with mattresses and towels - a small deposit is payable for the towels but is refunded on departure - well worth it as you get clean pool towels every day and don't have to pack towels in your luggage ! ! There is a great Buffet / bar at the pool which serves snacks throughout the day at extremely reasonable prices and big portions ! You can choose to sit at the prettily decorated outdoor restaurant area and eat there or one of the very friendly staff will deliver the food / drinks right to your sun - lounger beside the pool - your choice :) Examples of prices - Large Pizza €4.00, portion of fries €2.00 and Sandwiches served with Fries or sald €4.00 and really good flavours !!!!!

I cannot leave without mentioning the absolutely super animation team at the Agadir Beach Club Hotel. Suffice to say they were AMAZING ! They made our holiday, they were just out of this world great with the kids ensuring to involve them in daily activities and making sure they were having constant fun ! My Son tends to by quite shy and even they managed to get him involved in the water polo, the darts, the tennis, the aqua aerobics ... the list of activities is just endless I could go on forever If I were to name them all !!!! Saiid and his team are super ! They will not only involve the kids but they will get you up off your sun-lounger and into the activities, and let me tell you, I'd be the first to say "No I'm happy here reading my book" but by the end of the week I was the first into the pool for the Aqua Aerobics and they had myself and my husband involved in everything !!! It was such fun and really added to the fun factor of our holiday !

Entertainment is provided every night in the lounge of the hotel. Kiddies disco every night also ! But Don't miss the Moroccan night with the traditional Moroccan band ! Its great fun and make sure to get up and dance .... again the friendly animation team will assist in teaching you belly dancing ... just so much fun and isn't that what holidays are all about !

Morocco in general - wonderful friendly people, great with children, just make the effort to talk to them and they will be so happy, you'll see what I mean. Extremely cheap ! Excellent choice of restaurants on the promenade, just one after another and one better than the next. Seafood to die for ! Marina area- restaurants are pricey, but food is very good there ! However restaurants on the promenade are half the price and actually a better atmosphere there !

Don't let anyone put you off, I cant say one bad thing about the place !!!! I loved it, My husband loved it, my kids loved it ! We will definitely be back xxxxx
