“A lovely way to spend some time on a Sunday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

Visited the Medina as part of an organised trip.

There's a man with a camel outside and you can have your photo taken, not sure what he charges as we didn't do it.

Really enjoyed looking round the shops and alleyways. Some of the doors have been retained from the old Medina and were very interesting to see. Nice to see the different materials used to recreate the Structures.

A few nice shops, some seeming overpriced but a bit of haggling soon gets the price down. Friendly sellers, who do try and talk you into buying but are not overly pushy!

We had a lovely traditional mint tea break whilst we there.

A very enjoyable visit

“A lovely visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

The Medina d'Agadir is a lovely place to visit - the buildings of the complex are beautiful and the artisans are lovely and not in slightest bit pushy. All are willing to show you their crafts and chat to you without pressuring you to buy. The restaurant served really nice food, although the service was a bit slow.

The shame of it is that there was hardly anyone there - the artisans all say that they have next to no visitors. The management should be promoting the complex more - adverts in hotels, a shuttle bus from the hotel zone and scrap the entry fee or at least make it refundable against a purchase. All these would liven the place up. It is worth a visit - even if just to admire the work put into the complex and chat to the lovely craftspeople.

“a place for tourists.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

I went there at around 9am in the morning when only one shop was opened. You are required to buy a ticket to enter. The medina is very different to those in other Moroccan cities since this one serve only tourists but not locals. I enjoyed walking around in the morning since no shop keepers would bother me. I think it is not hard to find it but better go by a taxi. costs around 25 DH from the seaside.

Stunning building but people trying to sell you stuff round every corner . Would be a lovely hotel not sure it's worth the £4 entry though
