We have been coming to the El Bahia for nearly 30 years - let's say that we and the staff have grown up together. The secret is the warm but firm management provided by Lassan (sp, sorry) who makes sure that the hotel is always welcoming and runs like clockwork. The rooms are spotlessly clean, most with shared bathrooms, but there are a couple of with ensuites. Breakfast is served in the courtyard, and there are plenty of places to eat outside in the square or in the adjacent streets by the mosque. El Bahia is a simple and very respectable establishment where single people, women, long term travellers, feel safe and looked after.
