This is quite an old Hotel that needs updating we stayed here 13 days on a Half Board basis I will give you a True account of this Hotel Firstly be prepared to pay 35 Dirums roughly £3.oo a day for the Room which the hotel collects for Government Tax we was not informed by our travel agent when booking also on their website it stated there is a coffee maker in room this is a mistake as there has never been supplied in any room take your own kettle also it states there is a lift this is only in the main part of the hotel which does not have balconys if you go to the other section be prepared for loads of stairs all over the hotel so not for disabled people when we arrived we saw 3 rooms and finaly setted on the one on same level of reception the rooms are very large with plenty of cupboard space fridge aircon and tv we had a swarm of ants which cleaner sprayed room and left us a spray it took 3 days to eliminate the room was never cleaned properly she used the same water to clean floor from all the other rooms you could see the water was black also the tv and pictures was very dusty this applied all around the Hotel even in the restaurant I saw birds flying around and ants and flies around the food the food in general was very good but very similar every day breakfast was good 3 cereal orange hard boiled and scrambled egg lots of bread and croscents and freshly cooked pancakes while you wait etc dinner every day one fish one beef and one chicken in different sauces always melon and great selection of salads plus 3 deserts cut in small peices pool area very good but chairs do not have cushions so not very confortable ;pool towels supplied by poolman as the hotel does not have a drinks licence no acholic drinks allowed in dining room or any where in hotel except your bedroom this is a very busy hotel and gets large groups it is good value for money most staff very friendly and helpful
entertain team are a joke there is 3 of them and all they do is turn the music up loud round the pool from 10am to 6pm had to keep getting up to ask them to turn it down sometimes one of them plays water polo when he gets a few people but most of time is round the bar talking to the rest of staff most of the day who congregate round the bar that sells soft drinks water and food This Hotel does not have its own beach so you can go to the private beach which charges 2.5 euros per day for chairs if you have booked please go you will enjoy it is in a good position for town and beach just informing you what to expect so enjoy and have a good time

We have jus returned from 7 nights stay at this place and it was the worst experience ive ever had in any hotel in the world. rooms were dirty and full of cockroaches. beds and bathroom fixtures falling apart. staff very unpleasant, unhelpful and rude. food was horrible to a point where we survived on takeaways and watermelon. non existant room service.. dirty pool... also it fails to mention in the brochures and ads that it is a ALCOHOL FREE hotel..

grotty hotel in a nice location..... never again..

Room Tip: a tip to travellers.... keep well clear.

Rooms are dirty everywhere. Bath and shower curtain needed replacing. Beds are hard. Food is ok but repetitive. Pool is lovely and plenty of loungers. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is a 3* hotel at bezt. Close to beach and restaurants.

The place was very old, the furniture was very dirty and the beddings were horrible. The beds were a disaster. Dont do the same mistake I did. Apart from the friendly staff and the OK breakfast there is nothing else worth anything in this hotel.

The hotel was very unprepared to receive us, one bed was missing from our children's room, they kept moving us to different rooms (at midnight) until eventually the manager intervened by phone and put us all in a nice suite until the next day when two good rooms were allocated to us. Staff are generally friendly. Restaurants couldn't cope with full hotel occupancy though which only became apparent on the last two days of our two week stay, as it was the time of the Holly month of Ramadan. The staff really tried hard to make our stay pleasant. But certainly the hotel is not a 4 star as claimed.

On holiday in Marocco in the HOTEL RYAD MOGADOR AL MADINA PALACE AGADIR ****. We booked up with Onthebeach which listed this as a 5 star hotel. I must say that I have stayed in many 5 star hotels all around the world and this does not come up to the 5 star rating given. The Hotel layout is not very user friendly and if you had mobility problems you would have considerable difficulty negotiating the public areas, especially if you were in a wheelchair or have difficulty walking up and down stairs. There is a VERY limited lift facility which does not serve any purpose. Firstly you need to use stairs to get to the lift and all it does is get you to a level which requires you to negotiate yet more stairs. If you are in an unfortunate situation where your room was not in the middle of the complex then noise pollution from the road and surrounding night life will keep you awake until at least 3am in the morning. Our room was situated at the side of the hotel and we were kept awake at night by the noise from the road and a pedestrian short cut from the beach road to the town centre. This short cut is used by the revellers leaving the various night clubs when they closed at 2 pm. The air conditioning in our room was also very antiquated and did not function adequately – so not only was our room noisy but also very hot making sleep difficult. (They are building 2 night clubs next door which will be open soon).
The breakfast was a buffet with not a great deal of choice for a 5 star rating and you needed to be very alert and watchful as the food was taken very quickly. Some dishes were replenished when staff had time, but the chefs seemed to be fighting a losing battle!!. If you were a late starter even within the breakfast time-frame things got worse as the limited choice means you have to have what was left. The Dinner was also a free for all rush so we decided to eat out for the rest of our stay. The one very positive thing about the hotel is the staff who could not be more helpful and polite. They always greeted the guests with a courteous smile and demeanour. Morocco Agadir has a great deal to offer and with some thought by the appropriate authority can become a good destination for holiday makers as well as the Moroccans who live here.

Room Tip: Choose room in centre of complex as it will allow you to sleep better.

Well where do I start, I am by no means posh or expecting anything special but when I steped into this hotel I found the reception staff quite aloof and none of them spoke very much English. There is no information in the reception in English and none of the tour guide books are in English either. The hotel itself should be classed as no good at all for disabled as myself being that way I know how difficult it has been. The key for the door works when it wants to, as does the safe which I have had to change 3 times now. The cleaner is sweet but she does not do much in the rooms. Service by the pool is a chore again with English hardly spoken. Wifi can only be got if you sit up in reception which is okay. I do agree with one lady who said the waiters do expect tips... Always try and give the right amount or give enough that you do not mind getting the change back. I will say Abdul who waits in the morning and evening is very attentive to customers and normally runs round checking everyone is okay.
Overall to hotel is quite clean and the lift works when it wants to but is a godsend when you can not get up and down steps very well.
Nice for families and couples but not any good for disabled people.
