Ice Legend - great flavours and fun to watch waffle cones being made. Lovely for an evening stroll to watch the local fammilies come out after sunset during Ramadan.

“Its a concrete walking area!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

How can you review a paved walkway? It is, what it is. Its full of hawkers trying to sell you watches (obviously fake or stolen). There are cafes and the like but none are particularly of note and they all have the obligatory people outside trying to entice (or drag) you into their particular restaurant. After a while, or certainly a couple of days, this is very annoying and irksome!.

It is wide, which is lucky as people on electric scooters race along it, during the day. There are no proper seating areas, so people sit on the beach wall.

It is relatively clean, however.

“A lovely walk, day or night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013 via mobile

The promenade is a lovely stretch of paved area that goes right down to the Marina area, past all the hotels. There are a few bars/ restaurants and a McDonalds and Pizza Hut and an ice cream parlour, but if you want wall to wall pubs and karaoke bars then Agadir is not for you, try Benidorm or Turkey!!!

There are some local sellers who will try to make you part with your money for kaftans, mineral rocks, watches, glasses, jewellery, henna tattoos etc.... But just be polite and say no thank you.

We were in Agadir during Ramadan and at night the promenade was busy with Moroccan families coming out to socialise and use the beach, which was nice to see.

It's very well lit and you get lovely views of the Kasbah both day and night.

There's an old man dressed in a funny hat with cymbals/bells round his neck, he is very friendly and will chat to you then offer you a photo opportunity. We asked how much before the photo and he said whatever you want, so we took the pictures then he wanted 300dh, we did give him a tip for the pics but nowhere near that amount. He wasn't nasty at all and took what we gave him. Just be aware if you have a photo then it will cost you something.

All in all its a nice area and I would recommend a walk, even if you just walk down a short section. It's interesting to see the sights.

“pretty shabby”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Unfortunately the promenade didn't have much charm.
We couldn't find any smart restaurants or bars. There just seemed to be numerous mostly empty restaurants and lots of rides and bouncy castles for children.
The walk is nice enough but having done it once you'll not really need to do it again.
