“Descent but overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012 via mobile

This has historically been a good place. The food is still descent. The atmosphere, however, is feeling a bit worn. Vents were dripping on us in the main dining room. For the money, make the trip to Rabab's in Spirit Lake. Escargot is still great. Wine list is lacking.

“Feels, Tastes like Key West”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

The fourth of July holiday found us hot, hassled and hungry as we made our way through the shops and attractions of Arnold's Park at Lake Okoboji, Iowa. My lady knew so much more than I about the local cuisine, and insisted that we have dinner at Yesterday's. Now, as a frequent traveler to the Florida Keys and Key West, I was a bit skeptical that this place was described as a "Keys-like" restaurant. However, my doubts were dismissed when we were greeted by the owner and compared some of the locales we'd both visited in the Keys. The food proved to be as good as I could expect, ordering the chicken Oscar featuring fresh asparagus and a light but tasty Hollandaise sauce. The meal was excellent, and the strains of Jimmy Buffet and Reggae music for background was the perfect touch. Pricing was reasonable and acceptable, and the entire staff remained attentive and helpful throughout our meal. This is a place that I will visit again.. right after our return from an upcoming trip back to Key West.

“Torn”

I think you have to know what you are ordering. Surf and turf was good. Not impressed with pangasius fish. Asparagus over cooked before it was grilled.

“Our Okoboji Favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

We have eaten here for years and they are consistently good with many excellent seafood dishes. Wait staff is well trained and attentive. The place is well managed and rarely disappoints.

“Great restaurant for romantic dinner/date”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

This restaurant is just plain cool. Fish entrees area great value as you get a side and soup/salad with your meal, which is rare these days at fine dining restaurants. The cheese wheel meal looked really good, will get that next time I go back. They make it tableside and is done using a full block of cheese. Great atmosphere and overall experience.
