Enjoyed our stay at the hotel because of the friendly staff - especially Lisa at breakfast. We had a second story 2 double bedroom. It was move in weekend at Iowa State and the hotel was busy, but we still had good service. The hot coffee and cookies with milk was a fantastic touch when we got there that evening, and they gave us a complimentary newspaper. The breakfast had hot and cold items -the standard waffles, cheese omelets, hard boiled eggs, cereal, fresh fruit and cut up fruit etc. Did not see any food shortages while we were there. Our room was clean. There were both down and polyester pillows on the bed. No view out the window - we looked out into some sort of alcove. Nice size indoor swimming pool.
As noted above our room was clean, but there was some wear. It didn't bother us, but it might for other guests. The upholstery on the chair in our room was torn. The bedspread on one of the beds was hilarious and made us chuckle. It looked like gopher tracks and hills and mounds. What had happened was the polyester batting in the comforter had come loose and formed mounds all over the quilt. Haha. Tried to use the internet but it was too slow in our room. This hotel was an easy off and easy back on the highway. Gas station close by. We give this hotel a thumbs up. :-)
