We stayed here the night before an ISU basketball game and found the accomodations to be quite nice.
Huge bathroom - soft towels, comfy beds, good TV channel selection and a toasty warm pool were all benefits of our stay.
I was slightly let down to see a poster for breakfast promoting bacon and eggs only to find out they didn't have any the next morning. Perhaps they scale back on weekends. They did have rolls and biscuits and gravy.
I was also a bit struck by the desk clerk at check in. I think I might have woken him when we arrived (before 9 p.m.) because he was a bit on the slow side. Perhaps he graduated from the University of Iowa.
This hotel is close to I-35 and not far from anything in Ames (nothing is far from anything else in Ames).
These accomodations are a nice getaway from the Hawkeye-infested eastern side of Iowa.
