“Family Style Meals and Sandwiches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

If you like large portions then you will like this restaurant. Ronneburg serves many meals family style with multiple side items. They also serve sandwiches if that is what you crave.

“Good Midwestern food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

Good homecooking served family style. Been here twice now and enjoyed the food each time. Service is quite attentive and their knowledge of the dishes is excellent. Visit Amana and then eat here!

“What a great meal to remember Iowa by”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

One thing about traveling to different states is trying different or local food. For the most part we did not find the food in Iowa to be anything special. Then we met a cousin at the Amana Colony and she said we had to go to "The Ronneburg Restaurant:. I am so glad we did. From the Ruben sandwich to the Stinchel. The pie was out of this world. We left full happy, having great service, and great food. Prices are average to Chili's or any other chain restaurant. The charm of this quaint restaurant is much better than a chain. Don't miss this restaurant if you get to the Amana Colonies.

“Reminded me of my mothers home cooking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Amana is a charming town with many historic buildings, very pristine gardens and landscaping. You will find several artists galleries displaying some amazing local artwork, boutiques with original pieces and local handmade items. We had lunch at The Ronneburg Restaurant. This is an original communal kitchen building providing a pleasant atmosphere and german cusine. You can order family style which I recommend. This is like dinner my mother served when I was a child. They offered pickled beets, cottage cheese, sauerkraut, corn, potatoes with gravy as side dishes to your main entree. Be sure to save room for dessert, the rubarb pie ala mode is awesome! Really enjoyed our meal and the service was great.
