“A Great Meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

You know, every trip to a restaurant can be a gamble. After an extremely challenging day at work, we decided to go out to eat. I wanted a steak and potato, but didn't want to drive miles away to eat. We don't usually eat at Outback. We've driven by on our way to and from Avon, but this evening it didn't look too crowded. We were seated immediately, and our server was very pleasant. The appetizer was quick, hot and tasty. The Blue cheese lettuce wedge salad was excellent. My wife had the potato soup, and was not disappointed. The main course was the Outback special, fire grilled to my liking. She had the maple mustard pork chops that were delicious. Baked potato was hot and fully loaded. The server was very prompt and not pushy. Drinks full. No up selling. Just like we like. Tonight we gambled and won.

“Popular location with underwhelming food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014 via mobile

This extremely busy location often has a very long wait time to be seated even on off-peak times. The staff did not plan very well and at 4:15 a crowd of people took up all the seats waiting. Surprisingly, one section of the dining room was not being utilized. It also takes a long time to get your food. As for the menu, it is very uninspired with basic food. The portions were generally very small and weren't anything special. It seemed very corporate and the deviation from a standard steak dinner one can easily cook at home was very small. The fillet I had was tiny and had too much fat on it. The sides were standard casual restaurant fair. Overall, this restaurant is lacking and does not seem to deserve it's popularity.

“Typical chain”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Had not been there in quite awhile so we had guests yesterday evening and they wanted to go there. Prior visits were nothing to rave about nor was this one. Waiter (Mike was good), nice decor but food just average. Ordered a Rib-eye medium and was medium well. Sides were average. Much better at Texas Roadhouse.

“Why would you go to Longhorn?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

This was my comment to my husband two bites into my steak and sweet potato last night. His family is notorious for going to Longhorn for family meals and celebrations so we eat at Longhorn more often than Outback (much to our dismay, as we were reminded last night). Outback is just so much better, especially if you want an inexpensive but delicious steak (the Outback Special). The seasonings are just right, steak has been tender every time we've gotten it, no matter which Outback location we've been at.

Our wait time between bread and salad course last night was a bit long, but it seemed maybe the restaurant was short-staffed. There were plenty of people waiting to be seated and several open tables next to us.

Otherwise though, food was as excellent as usual, both the steak and our sweet potatoes. Salad was fresh and crisp; bread was soft and slightly warm. Can't wait to go back.
