“Ok food, in a historic atmosphere!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2012

This place has somewhat mediocre food, which is a bummer since it is within walking distance from my house. However, I will say the broiled cod is very good! It has your usual sides... salad, baked potatoes, etc. Seems as though each time my husband gets a steak it is not cooked as much as he would like (he has learned to order it well done if he wants med or med-well). They are "famous for the broasted chicken." I find the chicken to be very greasy and actually kinda yucky. I have tried it on several occasions when we have been served "family style." I have gotten sick practically each time I've had it. However, if you need a good colon cleanse, order the chicken!

“Best of Avilla”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2012

For a small town, this place is a diamond in the rough. I definitely recommend the broasted chicken. Hard to go wrong honestly.

“Best in Noble County”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2012

This is the best food you'll find in Noble county. The chicken is great but try the broiled cod. Wish they didn't have a smoking section.
