We went to Aurora to see a show at the Paramount Theater. We decided to eat at Lorenzo's before the show...which was a fantastic idea.
Lovely building and landscaping from outside, inside we were met by a lovely gentleman to take us to our cozy and comfortable booth. We ordered two martini's -- real ones, not this new fangled pretend martini stuff -- which were properly made and shaken to an icy temp! We were then given some lovely warm bread with olive oil and cheese. We ordered an appetizer of Baked Artichoke and Spinach Dip - Served with roasted Tuscan bread. It was simply gorgeous!
My husband had snapper topped with crab and hollandaise sauce with asparagus for his entree. He devoured it. I chose the Gnocchi and Artichoke Hearts - Little Potato dumplings sauteéd with artichoke hearts and
shallots in a creamy vodka tomato sauce. It was simply divine!
For desert, I had Chocolate Confusion -- which was wonderful, my husband had a special desert of white chocolate mousse and strawberries, which was wonderful as well!
We relaxed in between courses -- we were in no way rushed. Our waiter was very polite and well informed about the menu. He neither hovered over us nor ignored us. He was very pleasant. Please try Lorenzo's. It was a wonderful experience. We will be going back in a week when we have tickets to another show at the Paramount Theater. Thanks!
