“Buy the Broadway Ticket Series”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

This theater is like stepping back into time when going to the theater was a special occasion in a fantasy looking place . It has the most beautiful ceilings and walls. The ushers are very friendly. The Broadway plays are as good as any I have seen in Chicago. The set designs are deceptively simple but effective. The costumes are amazing. Dancing and singing are Broadway quality. The cost for 4 equals about $30 a play including tax. There are a couple of good restaurants near by like Ballydoyle Irish Pub(I love fish) and La Quinta De Los Reyes They make guacamole at your table!!!). Both have good food and will get you to your play on time. They are both about a block away. Not a bad place to walk under the streetlights on the way home and not by yourself.

“Quality Productions~Beautiful Theatre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

The Paramount Theatre is in downtown Aurora and is on the National Register of Historic Places which has been nicely renovated. The interior is in the Art Deco style with Venetian elements. The Lobby Cafe inside the theater is open 1 hour prior to show time through intermission for you to enjoy coffee and desserts. Unfortunately downtown Aurora does not have fine dining in the area. We saw The Music Man January 2013 and Fiddler on The Roof March 2013 and both were outstanding productions. Our Fiddler seats (ORCH CENTER, ROW P, SEATS 111 & 112 AISLE 4) were great. BEWARE: Sadly the sight line from our Music Man seats (ORCH RIGHT CENTER, ROW: CC, SEAT: 2 & 4 AISLE 3) were obstructed by the "Sound Board” directly in front of our seats!

“Great venue for plays or concerts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

Located in downtown aurora,il is this historic venue that has been renovated to a 1st class facility for many different types of "live" entertainment. Not too large maybe 2000 seats with great sight lines and excellent acoustics. They have a small bar area on both levels and spacious and clean restrooms as well. Highly recommend for plays/concerts. Oh, and a large casino is walkable distance from the entrance of the theatre. Have to this venue 5 times in the last 1-2 yrs.

“It is located right downtown Aurora”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

My wife and I have been to some events in this theatre. It is a very old theatre but still very nice inside. It is located right downtown Aurora.

From their website:

In 1915, J.J. Rubens and other far-seeing theatre owners formed the Aurora Theater Company—a power group that guided Aurora’s moving picture business.

Recently named one of the Top Ten Theatres in Chicago by the League of Chicago Theatres, the Paramount continues to provide world-class entertainment—including dance, music, Broadway-caliber theatre, and children’s programming—for an annual audience of 150,000 patrons from over 250 communities. The Paramount also hosts free community events and its opulent interiors provide a spectacular backdrop for private functions such as wedding receptions or corporate galas.
