“Convenient and Good Customer Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2009

I stay at the Jameson frequently when visiting the ORD vicinity on business. The cost is well within my allowance and I'm particularly pleased with their willingness to transport me as necessary in the vicinity. This includes transportation to my work, local restaurant and shopping centers, etc. Very friendly and positive group!

Stayed here for two nights. Booked with Hotwire at about $40 per night (and that included taxes!). This was a nice place for the money, with clean accommodation, pleasant, helpful and obliging staff, with a very adequate breakfast included. Phoned and asked for two rooms beside each other with bedding requests, non-smoking - Jeffrey at reception was very obliging. In fact, all reception staff PLUS the housekeeper who took care of breakfast items and refills, were friendly and efficient. If you're looking for the Ritz........this isn't it! If you're looking for a bit more than basic accommodation, at a reasonable price, then I highly recommend this hotel. We used it as a base to visit downtown Chicago and it was easy on/off Interstate 90, plus, if you're not staying downtown Chicago for dinner, it's also easy to access all the restaurants along Golf Road (which leads to Woodfield Mall - probably about 10 mins drive).

The accomodations are great. The room & bathroom was clean & modern. The fitness center had modern equipemtn. The whirlpool was clean & modern. The complimentary breakfast wasn't a 5-star meal, but it was fresh & served its purpose. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Excellent accomodations & service for the money spent.

We were attending a wedding at the Wellington, which is just next door, and wanted to be able to walk over and go to bed late night. This hotel worked for just that purpose, but was otherwise very disappointing.

The t.v. does NOT come in at all, the room decor is completely outdated and not welcoming or warm, the bathroom had mold on the cieling and was extremely small.

I HAVE to say that the bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable! Most hotels scrimp on the mattress and you can usually SEE the mattress sagging if you look at it when it's made up. This was hands-down the MOST COMFORTABLE hotel bed I have EVER slept in!!

We were only IN the room for a short time - to get ready and to sleep and we left very early in the morning. They did deliver a newspapar to our room, and the continental breakfast offered many options.

  • Liked — Bed was very comfy
  • Disliked — Small bathroom and no t.v.

We arrived at our final destination of our US Trip to a 5-night stay so we hoped it'd be an OK place... for the most of our trip we had been lucky so wanted to end the holiday with another good choice.

We were not disappointed.

The Jameson Suites at Arlington Heights was a fantastic value-for-money hotel that was private, clean and spacious. In our room there was a little kitchen area with microwave, kettle, tea & coffee, a seating area (sofa and chair), bed area (large bed!), with good access to TV from both sitting area and bed.

There was also a safe in the room, and the wi-fi access was fantastic. There was a PC in reception for use. We had a free newspaper delivered to our room everyday and maid service was daily; very polite staff front of house and service staff.

We also enjoyed access to a steam room with a jacuzzi in it on the ground floor which was welcome relief from the heat.

Breakfast was continental, I would recommend getting up early so you can get bacon, eggs and sausage patties as it all goes.

Location was by car to Chicago or a short drive to the train station at Arlington Heights (busy to park there in the week) and get the train into Chicago, which we did daily for a small price.

Food-wise there isn't much nearby, but for a short drive into Arlington you'll find a few nice eateries. There is a banquet suite next door that has a bar so is a 30 second walk for drinks. They shut early in the week but have stuff on at weekends.

You can't go wrong at all with this hotel. I'd definitely stay there again.

My friend , My son & I stayed for 4 nights. We arrived about 9:00 PM in the evening. Check in went smooth. Room was acceptable (poor TV reception). The worst part of our stay had to do with the complimentary breakfast. It seems this hotel must be part of a travel package for senior citzens tours. During the week it was very difficult to get a seat for breakfast because the seniors would congrigate in the breakfast area and even after finishing their breakfast would stay and socalize for hours. Be wary if you are counting on the breakfast for saving a little cash. Other than that our stay was pleasant and the staff was helpful.
