“Good food, bad wine”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

This is an attractive-looking restaurant in an area with lots of mall-type restaurants. The menu is extensive. The food is good though made with a heavy hand. The house red wine, a blend of many varietals, smelled and tasted like vinegar. The dessert flight of wine was not surprising either - sickeningly sweet with no subtlety. I would recommend sticking with the selection of beers!

“Unacceptable wait time for reservation, but...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

First, we will never go on a Saturday night again. If we hadn't been dining with friends, we would have walked out, never to return. Our reservation was for 7, but the day before we arrived, the restaurant called and asked if we could come at 7:45., No problem. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation and checked in, receiving a gizmo that would let us know when our table was ready. Almost an hour later we were called to our table. Again, we would have left if it wasn't for our friends who did not want to leave. Now, the good. While we waited we did wine tastings, but again, this was money we spent that we wouldn't have spent because we were kept waiting so long. The wines were good and we were impressed with the reasonable prices. When we finally got our table, we met our friendly waitress who suggested wines with our food. The wines were excellent and the food outstanding. We had steak, scallops and the crab cakes, all of which were wonderfully done. Because we enjoyed the food and wine so much, we will definitely come back. Just not on a Saturday. If we experience such a delay again, we will have to pass on this restaurant again.

“Lives up the Cooper's standard”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

This venue is the largest space for the Cooper's Hawk chain in the Chicagoland area. But the space still fills as the food and service is equally as impressive as their original and smaller spaces. The tasting room is large and accommodate a crowd (which is usually gathered). Overall both the restaurant and tasting room provide a consistent and positive experience. Also, if you looking for to host a group, their private dining areas are great and the banquet staff are top notch.

“A Solid Night with Friends”

Had a great time. Expanding horizons with wine. Fun even if you're not a Wino.
Fun atmosphere, good food, and plenty of drink choices.

“Fun Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Really nice place and it's great to be able to "sample" their wines. Food was good and they definitely don't skimp with their serving size. They have a great selection of various things in the gift shop area, don't forget to get dessert, if you have enough room or just get it to go!!
