“Great Stay in a new hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Everyone of the employees were very helpful and answered alll questions i had. Even told us of fun things to see in the area.
I would recommend this to everyone.
The rooms had very comfortable beds and seating areas. The little area they built for the fridge/microwave was a nice touch.
Breakfast area very clean and the breakfast attendant was very friendly.
The whole experience was very nice!
Will stay again.

Stayed here on business during a conference at the hotel and was very impressed. Continental breakfast was outstanding! The hotel opened around Christmas 2012 and is extremely nice - brand new decor with great design. All the beautiful wood furniture in the hotel was made by local Amish craftsmen. The local theme (country, Amish community) of the artwork in the building added a lot, yet it didn't feel "country"; it felt very modern. Meeting space was large and pleasing with exceptional catered food made by the Amish.
The only hiccup during my stay was in the price of the room. My coworker and I had two rooms. We booked at the same rate but they misprinted a higher rate on my registration. I informed the front desk agent of the mistake at check in and was told I was right, and that she would cross it out (not reprint it) and that I would have the lower rate. She crossed it out and I was satisfied. But at checkout the bill was still the higher rate and hadn't been fixed. We weren't worried but when we brought it to the attention of another front desk agent that morning, the owner or GM who was standing there said it was indeed the correct rate and didn't bother pulling the registration card. She wasn't rude but she didn't believe us and didn't bother to investigate. It was a missed opportunity in customer service. Not a huge deal (difference of $12-15) but fairly annoying from top management. But I would still stay here again. Service otherwise was quite good.

This hotel, which just opened in December, 2012, is really beautiful. The rooms are well laid out, elegantly decorated, immaculately clean, and furnished with locally made Amish furniture. More important than this, however, is the staff. Tammy, the assistant GM, gave us some excellent insights into the local activities and attractions.

The hot and cold breakfast consisted of four kinds of dry cereals, muffins, danish pastry, bagels sausage, any kind of egg you want, and almost anything you can think of to drink. It was all prepared by a wonderful Amish lady every morning. The breakfast was almost worth the visit.

Very nice, clean hotel. Rooms are spacious and modern. Was offered cookies and milk in the evenings and enjoyed wonderful hot breakfast in the mornings. Loved the pancakes!
Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Hosted an event at this lovely new facility and could not have been more pleased! Completely comfortable and clean - we had a couple dozen rooms and everyone was very happy. The extra little thoughtful touches in the rooms were appreciated and the breakfast was a step up from what one usually gets at other establishments. But even better than all of that was the staff - the front desk personnel were super-friendly and helpful morning, noon and night. The breakfast staff accomodated us and made us feel at home. The maintenance staff promptly took care of every special request our group had in connection with our event and the general manager was always accessible and made sure that things ran as smoothly as possible for us. Our event looked beautiful in the new conference center space and we are thrilled to have it reserved for all of our future shows! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all involved!

Very relaxing, comfortable stay! After a day of antique shopping this hotel offered the perfect wind down. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and kind. Even the lady in charge of the breakfast area made it a point to connect with each guest.

We came to Arcola to just visit the area and see the Amish Settlement. The Hotel is Beautiful!! The decor is from local craftsman and artists. Our room was spacious and very clean. The employees were so helpful when asked about where to visit and where to eat. Pancakes were a nice difference in the morning breakfast choices It's nice to visit a place where everyone is pleasant and has a smile on their face. We plan to visit Arthur again in the near future and will be staying right here again.
