This park is well maintained and a wonderful retreat that is so close to town. Enjoy nature and make it home for dinner. Excellent day trip.

“Magnificent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012 via mobile

This is a beautiful park there are trails and other places to hike around they have a field where people will fly those huge model airplanes and kites. There is frisbee golf and so many good camping spots. It is also walking distance from the water on gorgeous Lake Pend o'reille. The only down side is you had better have the pass visible and no stopping to look around or Dudley Doright will stop you and escort you out. Been there done that.

“Favorite campground ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Great place to make memories! You can boat on lake Pend Orrille, mt. Bike the campground trials, play frisbee golf, hike, fish, picnic, run on road and/or trials to mention a few of the great things to do at Faragut. This was an old Navy base and was converted to a beautiful campmground. You are only five minutes drive to Silverwood Theme Park from here as well.

They also offer nature interactive activities and movie nights outdoors!!!

“Fantastic state park in scenic location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

My wife and I began touring a portion of the International Selkirk Loop and the first couple of places we visited were a bit of a downer. But Farragut was just what we needed! The park is centered around Lake Pend Oreille and the views are unparalleled! We arrived on the first day of Labor Day weekend, just to stop in for a couple of hours. The campsites were sold out and we could easily see why, the site is so lovely. Quite a few families had already set up camp and a wedding was also taking place. We walked a couple of trails along the lake before heading to our lodging for the night. The views refreshed us from our day's driving. The only negative thing we can say is that it is not closer to our home state so we could return as often as possible.

“Farragut State park woodsy paradise close to town.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Farragut state park has a patriotic history originating from an army base during ww2. It is nestled along the bank of the Pendorielle river just a few miles north of Coeur d alene and has numerous campsites and lots of room to spread out and enjoy nature. It is just a quick trip back to town to get supplies.
