“Can't wait to take my family here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

If you can be patient and wait for a parking spot it's worth it! We rode a Harley so parking was no problem. Maybe going early in the day is a better suggestion. The view is beautiful whether or not the waves are crashing through the blowhole. Watched whales for several minutes then hiked below to the beach. I had motorcyle boots on so getting up and down was no problem. I definitely would not attempt in flip flops. While we were down there a young woman slit her foot wide open swimming too close to the rocks. I do not recommend taking young children down to the beach.

“Brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

I took my father to see the "from Here to Eternity Beach" a few weeks ago (May 2013). The parking lot is crazy because of the tour busses, but they don't stay long so depending on how you hit the lot, you might want to wait for a bit of down time for optimal photo taking. Also if you have good shoes and are lucky enough to get a spot, park on the side of the road before the blowhole parking lot there is a tall rock formation that provides outstanding views of both the blowhole and the beach with fewer people. This beach was also shot in the movie 50 First Dates.

I also went back with my partner on a day that the surf was heavy and the blowhole was going off. It was seriously impressive watching the surf crash onto the beach and from the blowhole. There was a delay between the waves hitting the rocks and the noise - a thundering boom - that erupts a few seconds later before the blowhole shoots the water up and it cascades out. Super amazing.

We hiked down to the beach (you need to go slow and have on gripping shoes - but it only took 5 minutes and we were the only ones on the beach) and there is no way we would have gone out into the surf - it was intense that day. There is also a tunnel - very long and creepy looking that goes through to the other side of the rocks under the road on the beach. I'm curious about it, but didn't want to to adventure though it - although I'll bet it's neat - kinda ominous looking though.

Amazing spot - absolutely worth the trip.

“Worth the stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

Worth stopping to check out the Blowhole and surrounding rock pools but not a must see. Completely free and a good location for happy snapping.

“Cool if the waters are rocky”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

The first day we stopped by the spout from the hole was minimal and not terribly impressive. We walked down to the beach next to the blow hole. Beautiful beach! (From Here to Eternity Beach) We walked along the rocks on the outside of the beach over to the rocks that had the blowhole. It was neat being right next to it, but thank goodness halona wasnt too active. Later that week, when the waves were stronger, we drove by and we could see water spouting our violently from far away. Looked a bit cooler that day!

“Forget the Blowhole - Visit for the Amazingly Scenic View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

The blowhole itself is hugely unimpressive on a day with modest waves, but this is a tremendously beautiful lookout point that made for some of our best photographs in Oahu. Stop here for 15 minutes before or after visiting Hanauma Bay and you won't regret it.
