“everyone was so nice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2013

The resort is older and is affectionately called the pink palace for a reason. The ocean views are wonderful and if you didn't get an ocean view then the mtn views are almost just as nice. The staff is great and accommodated our requests. The breakfast buffet was ok nothing elaborate. I will stay here again!

We spent a week at Kaanapali Beach Club in October. We were there courtesy of an RCI Vacation Exchange. We have stayed at many resorts in Hawaii and throughout the world. We definitely agree that this resort is superior in almost every possible way.
We loved the room, the service , the oceanfront location, the availability of poolside chaises at all times , and the general atmosphere throughout the resort.
Staff were most courteous , helpful , and professional. On site restaurant was excellent with a modestly priced menu. Pizza was excellent.
We enjoyed sunsets in the evening and the lamp lighting ceremony. Our daughter enjoyed excellent snorkelling at resort oceanfront.
An excellent resort for R & R and fun. It was also most helpful to have a good local supermarket within walking distance from the resort.
I accidently left a small personal item in our room as we left. I contacted Housekeeping several days after our departure and was delighted and amazed to discover that the item had been found and placed in safekeeping for me. The item was later mailed to my home address in Canada--now, that was most impressive !
Thank you to all the staff and Resort Management for the privilege of enjoying a vacation at Kaanapali Beach Club.

This resort is beautiful!! The pool is huge and there were always comfortable lounge chairs available. It's located on the ocean with a nice sandy beach, although it is rocky as you wade in. This is on the north end of Ka'anapali, so you can't really walk to many places. In fact, it doesn't have the boardwalk in front of it. Most of the people staying here are members of various timeshares, although we were told they do put their rooms on hotel.com. Be advised, if you are doing an RCI exchange, you will not be given an oceanfront room. Those are reserved for Diamond Club owners. We booked 2 years in advance for our anniversary & begged for a partial ocean view, so we were able to see a side view of the ocean from our suite and we could see Black Rock where the Sheraton is located. The kitchen facilities in these condos are limited, no stove top or oven, just a microwave, refrigerator and electric skillet. The restaurant & bar were very good here. The pizzas are great & very reasonably priced. I also had fish tacos 1 night & had 3, loaded with fish for $15. The bar has a daily Happy Hour from 3-6 that had the best prices on drinks and you can see the pool and the ocean from their outdoor bar. It was 1 of the best in Ka'anapali.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views.

We have stayed at the Kanapali Beach Club on two occasions and will continue to do so. This resort offers a great location, great snorkeling and close to shopping and Lahiana but far enough away from large crowds. The customer service is excellent and the accomodations are roomy and clean fully equipped with refridgerator, coffee maker, dishes, microwave, dining area - we especially love the convenience of the on site bar, restaurant and pool area with beutiful gardens and koi ponds. We love the convenience of walkin right on to the beach from the pool/bar area for great sunsets. After our second visit we decided purchase a timeshare unit here so that we can continue to return often enjoying the relaxation and tranquility of Maui and all this resort has to offer.

Room Tip: We especially enjoy the garden-pool-ocean views - not real fond of the mountain view.

The Ka'napali Beach Club is in a great location - it is along the north end of Ka'napali but far enough away from the major crowds along the southern end of the area. The resort is still undergoing some renovations and changes so their normal entrance is blocked off and you have to enter through the garage area. It is well marked and there is both self-parking and valet. As Diamond Resort Owners I knew that we would be asked about attending the owners update. After I declined I had no further pressure to attend. All of the staff that I encountered were very pleasant and friendly. The bell hop was at our door within 5 minutes of calling to have our luggage picked up - he also took our car valet tag and had it ready for us when we arrived at the parking area. The rooms are nicely layed out - the bathroom is huge! I liked having access to the closet from both the bathroom and bedroom sides. The kitchen area is small but I am not in Hawaii to cook - so I only used it for breakfast items. There are BBQ's available should you choose to use one. The beds were very comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The pool area is large with a slide and a large spa area. There are lots of chaise lounges for people to use. The exercise area is in a seperate building near the pool area and is nicely equipped. It could use a little ventilation since it definitely smells like a gym. There is a great running/walking path that goes along the beach and past all the hotels. I took this as far as Whaler's Village which is about 3 miles one way. It does continue on past this area. I will definitely be back!!

Room Tip: Ocean View or Ocean Front are the best!

We have owned a timeshare at this fabulous hotel for almost 14 years. We can't wait to return to our home resort every year to fall asleep to the waves crashing ashore, lay out at the incredible pool, absorb the beauty of the mountains and surrounding islands and from December to the beginning of May, watch the whales play and teach their new babies to breach! The staff is very friendly and always accommodating. Consider yourself lucky if you can get a room here!

Room Tip: All the suites are wonderful!

We had a very pleasant experience at the Ka'anapali Beach Club. We stayed there as part of the RCI timeshare exchange, so of course you never know what you are going to get. The property was far more in the resort category than many other timeshares I have stayed at. The pool was beautiful, the property is right in front of the beautiful Maui beach and they provide very nice activities and exercise classes. In addition it has a very nice outdoor restaurant on property. The staff was very friendly and the custodian that had to come to our room would not even take a tip. We asked for a room on the top floors as was suggested in other reviews and they were right. The room was new, well furnished and provided a great view. The Timeshare staff was not too pushy. We said no the first day and that was it. I would definitely recommend staying here, and if we did not live so far away, I might buy there myself :)

Room Tip: Ask for the upper floors...recently rennovated
