“God's beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

OK the drive down to the beach requires a 4 wheel drive and you will be shaken and covered with red dirt when you arrive but the view is spectacular. We ate lunch on the deserted beach watching a baby whale do repetitive breaches with proud mom close by.

“spectacular beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

If you rent a jeep in lanai, definitely check out this beach. It is absolutely gorgeous, worth a visit even if you can't swim at it. We took the first ferry to lanai and when we got to the beach we were the only people there, I would definitely recommend heading over there early. The ride there is bumpy, but worth it.

“Beautiful beach!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

Polihua Beach is absolutely beautiful. We only saw one other vehicle there and we never saw the people that belonged with the vehicle.

There's no swimming at the beach and I don't see how someone could get in the water and get back out, as it is just a shelf that drops off. You can see how someone could easily be swept away, as you can see the current. But, for a beautiful beach, with Molokai and Maui in the background, this was worth the hour or hour and a half that it took to get there.

Definitely pack a lunch and some cold drinks as you'll want to stay a while and enjoy the view. I almost hate giving a review on this one, because I want it to stay as secluded as it is. I can't wait to go back to visit.

“Must see if on Lanai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

It can be difficult to find and even get there if you know where you're going. But it's worth the trip. Pack a cooler, and anything else needed to spend as much time as this beach as possible. Once you get there, you will find it hard to leave; however, there is risk swimming in this area as the currents are very strong. The sand varied from when you first walk up and all the way to the water.

The day we went, there were only 2 other people in sight. This beach seems to go on forever.

Amazing sight!
