“Disappointed”

I've been a season pass holder for the last few years, but I will say this year I was sadly disappointed and will opt to not purchase a season pass this year. My son loved Brunch with Bugs the last few years, but this has been discontinued, as has the Season Passholder Appreciation Day. Two of the live shows have been converted to videos, which I am sure is a cost saving move, but disappointing nonetheess. The daily parade has been reduced to a "blink and you will miss it" parade. It started at 4:00 p.m. and was over by 4:02 p.m. I have been to Hershey Park, Dollywood, etc. and Six Flags parking price of $15 is extremely overpriced. Other parks are $8-10 or give you a discount or free parking with a season pass. The food is also overpriced. $8.50 for a slice of pizza is high. Other amusement parks have better food at more reasonable prices. For a souvenier bottle you can get refilled it will set you back $12.99 (refills 99 cents). It was considerably less last year.

“Memorial Day was Great!”

My daughter and I went on Memorial Day and had a great time! It must have been the day to go to the lake because the people were not at Six Flags that day. We rode everything we wanted (Superman 2x's/ Goliath 3x's/ Georgia Cyclone 2 x's) and then some. The longest we had to wait for 40 minutes for Superman (it was our 2nd time and we waited extra just to ride in front).

Tips for a better Six-Flags experience: Oscar Mayer Lunchables gives a coupon for a free kid ticket with $10/off an adult ticket. I was able to enter the park for $31 for me and my daughter

Parking: When you exit I-20, right before you enter the park, there is a parking lot to the right. It cost $20 to park but you can't beat how close to the entrance you are.

Waiting--if you can't go on Memorial Day and have the money, you can save your money and buy a flash pass--I personally hate to pay extra money to experience something I have already paid for; and I think it teaches our kids that if you have money, it gives you an unfair advantage.

I was ready for a dirty park with rude workers but I have to honestly say that this year, I feel the workers went out of their way to give us a good experience. (and I've been going for over 15 years)

So go--have fun--be patient--and don't forget the sunscreen!

“Heaven for roller coaster addicts, hell for everybody else”

If you are a roller coaster addict and do not mind 2+ hour waits in the hot sun for each roller coaster ride (in May!), you may like this place. We hated it. I spent the day there with several 7-13 year old kids. The lines were ridiculously long, and everybody got grumpy after waiting on our third long line.

I don't know where to begin with this review. Everything I can think of regarding this place has been terrible.

Purchasing tickets online and printing them out on your own printer, with your own paper, and your own ink costs you an extra $3.00 online fee. Why on earth are they doing this? You're saving THEM time and money.. When I arrived I was told it would be a 1 hour wait to process my online ticket. This was just the beginning of my day.

The park wasn't very crowded, but a "short wait" on any ride, including the Mine Train baby coaster, is 60-90 minutes on average. Lunch for two at one of the "fine dining establishments" at the park was $30 at Panda Express. It was either that, Papa John's (probably $30 for a pizza there as well), or the little places they have everywhere in the park that takes you back to the fine dining experience you had in a high school cafeteria.

The fast pass system only made the wait longer & those that did use this sytem still had to wait in line 45-60 minutes. Rides were breaking & the general attitude of the staff was, and I quote, "This is Six Flags. Of course our rides are going to break.. what do you people expect?" Rides do break, but you'd think with the amount of money this place generates on a daily basis that doing regular matinenance on the rides would prevent things from breaking and could actually afford GOOD MANAGEMENT that implement effective policies.

I arrived at 10:30am and left around 6:00pm after only being able to ride 3 rides.. yes.. I said THREE rides. I waited over 2 1/2 hours to get on Batman, which is only a 45 second ride & Goliath took another 2 1/2 hours.

I will NEVER go back this horrible excuse of an amusement park.

“Not a family friendly park”

I recently went to Six Flags Over Georgia to chaperone a group of kids. I found the trip to be largely a waste of time because of the extremely long lines for most every ride. Some of the kids waited in line for more than two hours to ride Goliath and all of the major roller coasters had long wait times. There were mechanical difficulties on at least two of the coasters causing additional delays and the Thunder River raft ride also was down for about 30 minutes due to maintenance problems. Even when we stopped for lunch we waited in line for more than 30 minutes to get a hamburger. The park appeared to be understaffed and some of the staff members were rude. For example, one of the boys went into a Ben & Jerry's to get some ice cream and accidently called the lady behind the counter "sir". He was just a young kid and certainly didn't mean anything by it and she gave him a lot of grief. We experienced line cutting at some of the rides, smokers in some lines, and lots of people using obscene language.

The only saving grace for the park is the amount of roller coasters. For a coaster junkie this might be an OK park but for a family park I rate Six Flags Over Georgia with an "F". I will not be going back.
