“Nice and comfy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

This is a nice and comfortable hotel. It is beautiful when you walk into the lobby! It is also right on the riverwalk so many rooms have amazing views of the river. The bed was comfortable. I would go back to Augusta just for the hotel! The restaurant inside the hotel was good as well and not too expensive.

I was looking for a nice place to stay were I could enjoy local eats and the river and I was not disappointed. Upon arrival I was pleased to see how secure the parking was as I had a car full of stuff from traveling. The check-in was speedy and staff pleasant. I had requested an upper floor end of hall. Received an upper floor near mid-hall but was actually pleased with the room. Kudos on having tea in the room for those of us who do not drink coffee. My room was standard but still had a nice side view of the river. All amenities in the room were functional and in good repair. Enjoyed walking on the river and waking to cool local places for dinner. Overall very good experience.

Amazing service, beautiful hotel in downtown Augusta. The rooms are nice, clean, maybe could use some updating, but decently sized. Everyone is very friendly. But the MAIN attraction is the food! Augustinos (Marriott restaurant) is so good! And if you are a marriott platinum or gold member the concierge lounge is one of the best my husband and I have seen (see the pics!). The lounge serves a fantastic hot breakfast, dinner, and top shelf alcohol. Plus they have a refrigerator with all sort of nonalcoholic drinks. To top it off upon check in we got a $10 voucher for being platinum members to spend on more food and drinks outside of the lounge. We all left with very satisfied tummies! If our AC or heat goes out again we know exactly where we will be staying again in Augusta :).

Attended a conference in Augusta and was booked at the Marriott. I understand it's the best hotel in Augusta and it really was. Gorgeous location right on the Savannah River looking across to South Carolina. Close to many restaurants and bars, all within walking distance. Cute little promenade to talk walks or runs and there is a riverboat tour as well located close by. Hotel restaurant the Augustine was a little pricey but very tasty. The bar and bartenders were pretty awesome as well.

We have stayed at the Marriott Riverwalk in Augusta on several occasions. They have a nice indoor pool with hot tub, rooms are comfortable. Their restaurant downstairs has an awesome Sunday buffet. The hotel is very clean, nice staff. Would recommend.

Clean and comfortable in a nice location close proximity to several bars and restaurants, Has restaurant and bar on premises too that we did not get an opportunity to try.
Was best option in the area (IMO) for state track & field championship.
Front desk provided extra pillows per my online request and they were very nice!
Would return again!

This Marriot was a nice hotel, we stayed in the Suites portion - they are connected to the Marriott room Tower. Difficult to go between the two areas-you had to really think about where you were on site-maybe better directional would help. especially with the "parking garage" signs, they are very small. Nice size bar but DID NOT LIKE BEING CHARGED DOUBLE THE PRICE OF MY MARTINI WHEN I ASKED FOR A DOUBLE SHOT...even questioned the waiter about it...a ten dollar martini costs 20.00 because of an extra shot? So, have to say that this bar has overpriced drinks. My friend had an average glass of Merlot and it was 16.00! We ate at the hotel restaurant and definitely feel that it was overpriced as well. Go across the street to the Boll Weevil Café for excellent sandwiches and salads. Loved that this hotel was on the River Walk and loved that it was within walking distance of all the downtown shops and restaurants. would stay here again but not to eat. Oh! but the concierge lounge was great! we had drinks there one night and the appetizer was lobster macaroni and cheese cakes-kind of like a cheesy crab cake. enjoyed that!

Room Tip: overlook the street with the Boll Weevil Café side and you can see a gorgeous water fountain and cir...
