We stopped here mid-afternoon for lunch and had no problems. The food was excellent and the service was okay. Very casual atmsophere which was what we were looking for.

Horrible branch of a great chain. I have been a Mellow Mushroom fan for a long time and use to frequent the one in Raleigh, NC. The staff at the Augusta, GA location is unbelievablly rude and unproffessional.

First, their operation is abysemal. Nobody greets you at the door. They don't speak up. Nobody seems to know what is going on. Everyone moves on their own time. Lousy service in general among the wait staff.

Second, the waiteresses have been disrespectful to my wife on two different occasions.

Don't let the "Okay" review fool you though, the pizza at this branch rocks but the staff can totally use some work. We have been a handful of times and each time have had to wait far longer than neccessary as we could easily scan the area and see plenty of seating, simply had no one to seat us. And as someone has also pointed out service is sketchy, once seated you are likely to be forgotten for a while and once you receive your order you most likely will have to ask for a refill....and your check....and a box...over again.
However, the pizza does r o c k. I suppose to satifsy, you could always just pick it up and not worry with service and tips! lol.

First of all, let me preface this by saying that the food at the Mellow Mushroom is EXCELLENT. I ordered a calzone, and it was unbelievably tasty. However, it could easily be split between a few people. It was HUGE! We also ordered the pretzels as an appetizer, and while we were expecting small ones, 3 large ones were brought out. They didn't taste much like pretzels (more like bagels), but they were hot and fresh. We tried the Esperanza dressing, which was like a garlic Italian, and it was different, but had a good taste. The food is exellent and there are SO many choices, it was difficult to choose.

However, the service was a bit spotty. Our appetizer came out after our main course, and our server seemed very forgetful. We were there a bit after the lunch rush on a weekend, so there shouldn't have been any reason for it. She was very, very nice though.

I'd come back, though I was very disappointed to learn it was a chain. On the upside, the food is very good, considering it is a chain.
