Don't bether staying at this hotel. I was in town on business and from the looks of their website, it seemed like a good stay. However I was wrong. It's poorly lit at night and is the furthest hotel away from downtown Athens that I saw. It is not a good place for a young man or woman to stay in on business. $44.99 per night (government rate) plus .95 phone surcharge.

The "business center" is a joke. It consist of a desk with a computer, mouse, printer in the far left hand corner of the lobby. The lobby is very small to begin with. The Rise n' Dine Breakfast is below average consisting of cereal, different types of beverages (juice, tea, coffee), bread (white, wheat, bagels) waffles (cheap), and microwavable sauage biscuits.

The room floor consists of smoking and non smoking rooms. As soon as I entered the hallway, smoke can be smelled. My hallway consisted of every other room was smoking. The bed sheets had cigarette burns on it.

Some rooms can only be accepable from the outside. The hotel was out of toothpaste, razors, and shaving cream while I was there.

The only positive: high speed internet. Don't bother your money here.

We reserved this room this past weekend because our first choices were booked. However, I felt we received a good room, especially for the low rate.

Positives--Very professional front desk; clean, relatively large room with very comfortable bed and everything working in the room; exceptionally clean and nice bathroom with one of the best showers I have ever found; parking close to the room.

Negatives--No telephone books in rooms; A 95 cent "telephone surcharge" that appeared on the bill with no advance notice, no use of the telephone on our part, and no adequate explanation for the charge; no Sunday newspaper on premises; continental breakfast below average.
