Learn about the plants and animals of Georgia through programs and interactive displays in the new exhibit hall. Live animals are on display and there is a small planetarium. There is even an active observation beehive that can be viewed from inside the building. Trails meander through woods and swamp and provide easy short hikes. For a longer hike take Cook's Trail to Sandy Creek Park (4.1 mile) and enjoy their 10+ miles of trails, including an newly completed loop around Lake Chapman. There is a short boardwalk trail from the nature center to the creek that is wheelchair accessible and all of the indoor activities are accessible. Enjoy the gift shop where they have a lot of nature-based gifts!
