“Good food and great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

Mix of El Salvadorian and Mexican. Very authentic.. Super size portions.. That chimchangua in photo is good 1lb. Lunches run $7.99 and are huge. Cheese chorizo and tortillas are made in house.. It's not the best seating inside or nicest looking from the outside but it's good..

“A great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Friends invited us out to a new place for us and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of our food. The carnitas dish and the shrimp meal were well prepared. It is a true hole in the wall on Chase Street but it was busy. The locals have found it.

“Gotta try the Gringa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

We were there for lunch, and ate off the lunch special menu. We had the tamal and Gringa with pico de gallo. You gotta try the Gringa. It is tortilla with ham, cheese, onion,a d with my wife's portion, a very hot pepper, possibly a cayenne. I think it may have gotten in there by mistake,as it was almost a whole pepper. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff is great. On a previous trip, our grandson ordered the chicken tenders, which came out very brown, and the waitress replace the entire order.

Try it for lunch!

“Another great meal at Tlaloc!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

Had a great Father's Day dinner at Tlaloc. Kids & Mom had pupusas and quesedillas and I had the Molcajetazo which is served in a metate bowl full of shrimp, pork rib ends, chicken and nopales. We all had food to take home and it will easily make another meal for us. Friendly staff and a great place. Not too attractive on the outside, but don't let that fool you.

“Popular join but average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

We tried this restaurant during our visit to Athens, which is full of wonderful restaurants. This was our first time trying Salvadorian food. Restaurant is friendly and family style restaurant ambience. Staff is very friendly. It is mix of Mexican and Salvadorian food. We ordered pupasas which was tasty and we had fajitas which was tasty. It's definitely worth a try but not sure I will keep going there again and again.
