“Good little pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

Good drinks for cheap, football on the tele, decent curry at lunch, and positively addictive chips with blue cheese.

“Legitimate English pub in Georgia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012

Never seen such a good pub in the states. Cozy, clean and yes awesome food! Always have the footie on and they even have curry which is a must for a U.K pub. Enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace and must say that Guinness was smooth. Being an Englishman i had to try their home battered Fish n Chips. This place is the real deal.

“Great atmosphere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2012

This place tends to have pretty good food, reminiscent of that found in an Engish Pub (well I've never been in a real English Pub, but apparently they serve the same stuff - e.g., bangers and mash, pub burgers, fish and chips, etc.). Anyway, the food is pretty good and not too expensive ($10-$15 dollars at dinner). I really like drinking at this place. Drinks can be a little more expensive, but most of the beers are imports. Also, try 'the smoke' - it's a whiskey cocktail served with a cider and liquid smoke infused ice cube - it's pretty good.

“Jolly Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2012

Whether you're looking for the perfect pint or a bite from across the pond, the Royal Peasant's a great place to be. I've always been impressed with their selection of beers from the UK and beyond, and they have possibly the best bangers and mash (topped with curried leeks) that I've ever had - even tops the dishes I've eaten in London! The beer is a bit pricey, especially for those on the college budget like me, but the atmosphere and friendly folks working there make the damage on the wallet a bit more bearable. I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't already.

“Cozy pub atmosphere doesn't disappoint!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2011

This is a small pub in the trendy Five Points area. There is an outside porch which is enclosed for the winter and has a few heating units. Inside is cozy and has a long wood bar and a few wood tables. There was one TV inside and one outside. There is a large selection of beers, wine, and hard ciders. Blackthorn and Original Sin are two tasty hard ciders.

Food ranges from a burger, to bangers and mash, fish and chips, lamb stew and curry (lamb or chicken). The lamb stew is very moderately priced, served with a slice of crusty bread. It is delicious and really warms the soul on a chilly evening. The lamb curry is very spicy, but so good you cannot stop eating it. The fish was a bit brown on the outside but the fish was moist and fresh--a perfect base for malt vinegar. They also have a plate of Blue Cheese Crisps which were homemade chips with blue cheese, a perfect starter.

The atmosphere is boisterous, leading to the freedom to have lively discussions without fear of disturbing neighboring tables. Clientel ranged from a young couple toting a baby in a carrier, to college students, to seniors. You will not be disappointed here.
