Service always outstanding, quality consistent and prices fair. Location is also great, but parking can be a hassle!

“Pricy but worth it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2012

The atmosphere is upscale/homey, the staff is welcoming, and the food is excellent. I even remember the salad being exceptional. I would go there again - often - but my income won't allow for it!

“Disappointing food and terrible service in a beautiful setting”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2011

Just came back from eating at RojoVerde y Ajo based on one Trip Advisor review. I went with a friend, and we were looking forward to a change from the hotel's predictable fare. I had a very good, interesting appetizer and a really disappointing main course that sounded good: sauteed spinach, pasta, cheese... but it had no character and wasn't cooked enough to meld the flavors. My friend's appetizer sounded good but was boring too. We tried the 'dulce de leche volcano'... a nice piece of dulce de leche pastry and a ball of vanilla ice cream. Nice; nothing special.

I had to walk into the kitchen to ask our waitress for a dessert menu, and again to ask for the bill. Our water glasses remained empty for most of the meal. About six people were sitting about the kitchen, but no one seemed very interested in finding out whether we were ready to order, get dessert, or get the check.

This was a splurge dinner, quite expensive by Teguc standards, and definitely not worth the price. Too bad because the restaurant itself is quite charming and nicely decorated, and there aren't that many places close to our hotel.

Stick to Gino's for terrific italian food and great, attentive and friendly service.
