“A good pitstop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

It is hard to find a good place to stay in San Pedro Sula without ruining your budget completely. But this place is actually pretty good.
The place is owned by a family who are really kind, and actually care about you having a good time while being there. They offer free transportation to/from the bus terminal, and are ready to drive you to the airport or other places in the city at any time (if possible), cheaper than most others. Rooms are clean and they got a big kitchen.

Overall a good place to spend a single night.

So glad we booked here. The owner picked us up from the bus (despite the fact it was over an hour late and we hadn't got in contact with him) and dropped us back at the bus station at 4.30 the next morning. A safe haven in the murder capital of the world!

We recently stayed for one night in San Pedro sula on our way to the bay islands. Luis picked as up from the airport for 15 dollar, which was very convenient as we arrived at 9pm. Everyone was very welcoming, we got water on arrival and the room was nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and we really enjoyed our stay. Luis dropped us at the bus terminal.
Good place to stay if you have to pass through San Pedro, maybe a bit expensive for a backpacker budget, but I would recommend it.

Stayed here recently for two nights and felt absolutely safe while in San Pedro Sula. If you must stay in SPS for any reason and are looking for somewhere cheap and safe then this is the place! Don Luis and Doña Blanca are amazing and caring hosts and very hospitable. Don Luis will personally pick you up or drive you to the local bus terminal or airport. Clean room with two beds and a fan, (A/C available for extra-charge if you want). Gated home that is located in a secure area of town and within walking distance to local mall and stores. Depending on when you leave, you also receive a homemade breakfast as well! One of 3 hotels that the Peace Corps trusts when volunteers arrive to Honduras, so for me that spoke a lot about the quality of the guesthouse!

Think safety while in SPS and choose to stay here!

We were picked up from the bus terminal by Luis, the room was clean and basic - perfect for our needs as a stop over on route to Nicaragua. Bathroom ensuite with towels, excellent wifi and very friendly and helpful hosts. They even dropped us to the bus at 4am!

I spoke to Blanca over the phone. My spoken spanish is not expert but it is not bad either. I spoke with her just now over the phone and she booked me a room. Told me she had one room available and that they were two other guests coming in on my same flight arriving at 1205a!!. It was such an enjoyable experience and I have not even gotten there yet. You can tell they have a loyal cult following of trekkers like myself and I look forward to posting another positive remark after I spend the night.

Luis & his family are great hosts. After getting picked up from the airport Luis asked if I wanted to stop at a service station or somewhere to get snacks/food. On arrival I got offered a bottled water & bananas. 2 malls are just a couple mins walk up the street, wifi is great and fast, Blanca cooked a full breakfast in the morning it was amazing & place was clean and tidy. Thank you!
