While travelling in Honduras for a month we spent 2 nights at this B&B and wished we could have stayed longer. This is an exceptional location, right on sea and you can hear the waves crashing in all night.Dante and Kristin are great and entertaining hosts, lots of laughs for sure.Dante arranged a trip for us to cayos cochinos and this was an exceptional value(great snorkling). There are a lot of day trips that can be done from here including white water rafting, fishing charters, hot springs/canopy zip line tour,so you can easily spend a few days here and we were very sorry we couldn't stay longer.Dante"s the chef and a good one he is and the value is really great. These owners go out of their way to make sure your sray is a great one,If your planning to be near La Ceiba don't miss going here.

Room Tip: Choose either room # 1 or 2 they are larger and better than the 2 smaller rooms

The folks who run this B&B are very personable and generous with their time. Dante shuttled us into town for a walking tour, up the mountain to river raft and for a beautiful trip to the lagoon to see the wild life. Thanks so much! Our daughter can't wait to come back on her trip down to Central America this summer.

This place is the best value for money place I have been. Don't expect anything fancy but the rooms are clean and tidy and provide everything you need. Paradise Found really comes into its own when you get to deck area (which houses the bar and restaurant) which overlooks the sea. It is THE perfect wake up to sit there and watch the Pelicans, listen to the sea and be waited on.

When you stay here with Dante and Kristen (the owners) you feel more like you are family friends and they really go out of their way to make this a perfect stay for you. The food is fantastic and while the area around the hotel itself is quiet there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. We spent just two days here and experienced so much of the Ceiba area, all of which was organised for us by the hosts!

Combine this with the fact that your food in the evening is guaranteed to be amazing, followed by as much or as little evening drinks and fun as you wish, this was the perfect place for us. Any time we are in Honduras in the future, we will certainly be making a booking here. It almost seems mandatory that we should go back as I now consider Dante and Kristen my friends!

Simply lovely ;-)

Loved everything about Paradise Found. The owners were friendly and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The room was cute, clean and met all our needs. We could hear the ocean crashing outside our room at night and it was very peaceful. Paradise Found is situated between the gorgeous mountains and the sea. We walked along the beach and had mountain views. Amazing. Perfectly located, we could not get enough of the views. We were also able to enjoy a fantastic dinner there! Don't miss out on their food! Shout out to Dante and Kristen for being so great! Hope to see you all again soon!

Room Tip: We had a room closest to the beach and could enjoy the ocean sounds at night. All rooms could possi...

I really did not know what to expect when I arrived to La Paradise Found in La Ceiba. Based on the reviews of Honduras, I was very cautious and apprehensive. However, upon meeting Dante and Kristen, all my fears disappeared. They treated like family, took care of me and showed me the best of La Ceiba has to offer. Dante is an incredible chef who is skilled and talented. From a delicious breakfast to outstanding dinners, he always surprised me by his artistic touch when it comes to food. Kristen is the woman who ran the show and made sure that each person is taken care of. By far I had the best time ever in Honduras because of Dante and Kristen's hospitality. I had already made reservations with them for next year.

Thank You for the accolades my Moroccan Brother! Having you here was like having close family.......We really miss your presence, smile and genuine laughter. We ALL learned a lot about how our differences are so miniscule; yet our time together was SO like a family reunion. Can't wait 'til next year to meet your whole family.

All the Best, Until Next Year Hermanito!

My husband and I actually stayed here over a year ago but I just noticed that our review never posted so here goes.
This place is right on the beach with a gorgeous view of the water from the tiki bar/restaurant and wonderful sunsets. Dante, Kristin, Mike and their staff are friendly and welcoming and love to jump right in and get to know their guests. They are a quirky bunch but I love people with character and this group has it in spades :) They are involved hosts not stuffy owners and try to make you feel like family. Dante loves to cook up something different every night and will do requests so dont be afraid to ask for something. I knew we would be friends when he found out we were from Wisconsin and inquired about cheese- we were happy to bring some delicious local WI cheese for them (who doesnt love WI cheese?). The food was filling, delicious and reasonably priced especially considering you have to be careful where you eat to avoid food bourne illness - Dante is very careful with food prep. They treat you like family and are happy to show you around town in their old truck and give lots of advice about adventures you can undertake. This is better than hiring a tour guide. We went on a gorgeous waterfall hike with Mike which I highly recommend-suspension bridge, foliage, views of the coast and a waterfall at the end. We took a day trip out to Cayos Cochinos but unfortunately our boat broke down on the way so we got more of an adventure then we bargained for and never got to dive but the scenery was amazing and I would recommend a trip out there to anyone. The Garifuna village of Sambo Creek is about a 20 minute walk down the beach and I recommend a visit. You can get there both along the beach or a back path - nice walk along the water and good opportunity to see life in the village. You can also stroll the beach in the other direction for a refreshing walk. We felt safe while we were there and the place is locked and guarded at night. Like any place you need to be aware of your surroundings and heed the advice of locals.
The hotel itself is a little out of the way but the location is part of the charm. We flew into San Pedro Sula and took a public bus to La Ceiba - we didnt have any issues with this. We took a cab from the bus station to Paradise Found. Please ask Dante in advance how much you should expect cab fare to be because being a tourist they tried to way overcharge and I was able to bargain knowing what the cost should be. After a few days at Paradise Found we took a cab to La Ceiba (which Dante arranged) and took the ferry over to Roatan - no issues here either.
The hotel itself is small and a little worn but still nice with lots of ambiance in the bar and with the owners. The service is excellent. You have to remember that you are in a third world country and not come into it expecting first world amenities-the lights may flicker, the room may seem a little spartan. You are not paying for the Ritz. You are paying a reasonable price for a great location with clean rooms, friendly hosts, delicious food, safe drinking water, lots of memories and gorgeous sunsets. We would definitely go back again!

Glad you enjoyed your visit....... I remember the very sad day we ate the last of that delicious WI Swiss Cheese! Thanks very much for posting such a wonderful and thorough review; most of our clientele comes from TripAdvisor and we welcome the support. Hope to have you back some time in the future.

We stayed for nearly a week with Dante and Kristin in January 2013. It truly was like staying with family! We were welcomed into the fold from the moment we arrived - which was a welcome thing after our adventurous travels to get there. Riding on the ferry from Roatan in rough weather is certainly an interesting experience! I can't thank Dante and Mike enough for taking us shopping in LaCeiba on the first full day to buy the essentials since our luggage never made it.

We squeezed in tons of activities during our stay - on many of which we were accompanied by Dante and Mike! That was a real treat and we certainly enjoyed their company. There is a wealth of things to do and see on the North Coast, and having personal tour guides was great. Cayos Cochinos is a must-see (we saw a reef shark while snorkeling!!), as is the ziplining and volcanic mud bath/hot springs in the mountains outside Sambo Creek. The Cuero y Salado wildlife refuge was amazing - we saw the biggest crocodile that I have ever seen in my life! Despite the fact that it was unusually cool and rainy while we were there, we enjoyed things to the fullest!

By the way, don't pay too much attention to the US State Department warnings about travel to Honduras. As long as you use common sense, you'll be fine. Don't flash lots of cash, wear fancy jewelry, or do things to draw attention to yourself. Stay away from dubious looking areas at night, and you'll be just fine. As a matter of fact, I felt safer in Honduras than in some places in Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC.

Paradise Found itself was very comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed the open-air champa in the rear with the wonderful bar and hammocks. The food was absolutely first rate!!! And I do LOVE my food. Not only was the food great, but it was cheap, cheap, cheap! You can't beat that!

All in all, I strongly recommend PF for the traveler who's looking for a budget adventure. You won't find a better adventure than this!
