“I really did find paradise.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2012

I was traveling from Copan to Roatan and needed a place to stay for the night in La Ceiba. I was only planning on staying one night, but I ended up staying for an entire week. I finally made it to Roatan, but after a few days I returned for two more nights at Paradise Found. I could not get enough of the place. The food in outstanding, and Dante' and Kristen are like family. They have Tony, the on-site dive master, who will make sure that all of your snokeling and diving adventures exceed expectation. I have had the opportunity to travel all around the world, and it is places and people like these that truly make a memorable experience.

We had a great time with you ALL week. Helping us feed 75 hungry disadvantaged children at the church in Sambo Creek is something we'll both remember forever. If you're ever close in your travels, come stay a while. Kristin and I genuinely enjoyed your presence here... can you say "GREAT KHARMA?"

Originally we had only planned to stay at Paradis Found for 1 or 2 days but ended up staying for over a week. The hosts, Dante and Kristin, go that extra mile to make you feel welcome and accomodate your requests and needs. Dante will arrange tours of local events and attractions through his many connections in the area and ensure your saftety and comfort. Dante is also a superb chef, who serves up mouth watering fare to please the palate. At Paradise found you will meet travelers from around the world to swap storiew with, share a beer or rum or play a game of darts.

Room Tip: Room 2 has a microwave, bar/fridge, and water cooler in addition to airconditioning, ceiling fan and...

Dante & Kristin are just amazing hosts with big hearts for their 4 room B&B. Dante was our guide almost everyday of our 7 day stay. He arranged for our pick-up from the Utila ferry. Dante is an fantastic cook, everything he made was just delicious, try the pizza too. Enormous portions and if your aren't ferociously hungry, split with someone. Easy to become friends with the other guests because of the wonderful atmosphere. Dante took us to La Ceiba twice where we ate at his favourite restaurants, the Sushi place is a must. We dived at Cayo Cochino with Tony from Pirate Island Divers (see separate review). Ziplining and Spa all within a few minutes drive, pick-up from the hotel. We had such a marvelous time at Paradise Found, the breakfasts were wonderful, name it and they will try to make it. Maria, Dante's assistant cook is a marvel. Our room was simple but more than adequate. We took the simpler of the two alternatives. There is the more expensive alternative which has a micro, fridge and TV, curtains and wardrobe. We will definitely return to Paradise found when in Honduras to meet our new friends Dante & Kristin again.

My wife and I spent 4 days and 3 nights at Paradise Found over Thanksgiving week and were truly wowed by what Dante and Kristin are doing. I selected Paradise Found based on all of the positive reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed! Beyond the spectacular location on the beach, the true highlight was Dante's incredible hospitality and knowledge of the area. The spitting image of "Jack Sparrow", Dante was known and liked everywhere we stopped in La Ceiba. The rooms at Paradise Found are very simple and clean but, truth be known, you won't want to spend much time in your room anyways given everything else there is to do and see. The restaurant on site was a huge bonus and, with Dante an accomplished cook, we enjoyed every meal taken at Paradise Found. But most of all, I will remember the trade winds sweeping in from the water every afternoon between noon and 5 as wonderfully iconic for our entire stay. We highly recommend Paradise Found if you are anywhere in proximity to La Ceiba!

After a horrible boat ride from Utila where our little boat almost sunk, we finally made it up to Sambo Creek.
As there was no sign for Paradise Found in the little village of Sambo Creek and even the taxi driver didn’t’ t have an idea where Paradise Found was hidden, we called the owner Dante who immediately picked us up. We loved Dante from the first moment, he looks a bit like Captain Jake Sparrow and is the greatest host you can imagine. First of all he bought us a whole bunch of fresh fruits, then we could use for free his dryer as our whole bags went swimming on the boat trip.
Dante cooks awesome, really really great food and huge portions, try his calamari, salads and hamburgers.
When it was raining, Dante picked us up at our room with umbrellas so we didn’t get wet and during our dinner on the terrace, he appeared with blankets so we didn’t get cold.
Dante and his lovely wife Kristin are the nicest hosts we ever had at a hotel.
If you are looking for a nice place to relax with great hosts and food, then Paradise Found is your first choice!

What a fun little place! I was wandering down the beach at sunset when I came to it and Kristin shouted to me to come on up. The pavilion has a magnificent view of the beach and the food is the best you can get anywhere near the vicinity. Kristin and Dante are great hosts and we had a lot of fun together eating, drinking and singing songs. This is the kind of place you don't forget.

The owners of this beautifully situated hotel is incredible. First of all, La Ceiba is an amazing location that is mostly overlooked in guidebooks (at least in Lonely Planet), but it is a great place and you can use it as a base to explore the Hog Islands which are stunningly beautiful and have awesome diving. Dante and his wife, Kristen, the owners of this place, are super friendly and cool people who make unbelievable food. The portions are HUGE though so be warned and probably share! Though expensive (in terms of Honduras food prices), it is well worth it.
I didn't actually stay there but wandered there for many meals and night time festivities. Plus they help you get organized with diving (Tony was a awesome, highly experienced guy to go out scuba diving with).
All in all, amazing experience!
