I visited Hobbies Hideaway for a week vacation from law school before my final exams. John picked us up from the ferry and gave us a mini-tour of the Island. He showed us to our room and then took us to the grocery store to stock up on snacks and drinks for our apartment. Our room was not the Hilton or the Marriot, but it was what I had expected. I was expecting for there to be one bed but instead there were three beds which was kind of an awkward arrangement. The porch area was fantastic for relaxing. It rained on the second day we were there and we were not sure what to do. We were thinking of renting a car but they only had manual transmissions available. John told us that he could give us a tour of the island. We decided to take John’s tour and we were very, very happy that we did. First of all, driving in Roatan is not for a novice. Second, John showed us every inch of the Island. He gave use lots of great ideas and tips on what to do for the rest of our stay. He also stopped at the Casino since I said that was the one thing I especially wanted to do. On our last day we went snorkeling in the private beach in front of Hobbies. It was great. Overall we had a great trip. Thanks John and Sue!
