“Save the reef, eat a lionfish!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Although the majority of the entrees are fried, we received a wonderful portion of fish and sides. Fish tacos were not fried and very tasty; my daughter enjoyed her fish an chips. We were encouraged to sit out front until the hot sun left the deck and were welcome to move back to watch the sunset while enjoying our meal. Reasonable for all the food and drinks were on happy hour special.

Lionfish have been known to eat the lobster and shrimp along the reef. The killing of the lionfish is very regulated; only certain personnel are distributed spears. I guess lionfish are overpopulated at this time and causing a lot of damage. (That's what I heard when there.) Can't get it anywhere in the Midwest U.S. so wanted the experience!

“Eat a lionfish under the stars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

When we first arrived in Roatan, we noticed this clean well lighted place. We ended up going there for dinner our first night and meeting the hostess Ms. Christine. she offered up several of her favorites, including Lamb Shank, Sea Bass, Lion Fish, and shrimp dishes. All of these were wonderful, but our favorite was the lionfish. Little did we know that night that we were helping to protect the wonderful reef that sits around this island. The tables were clothed, service was impeccable(thanks Nicki!) and the atmosphere was undeniably wonderful. The restaurant is on the beach and has seating access on the nearby pier, We were so enthralled by the folks that run the operation that we went back several times and each time learned more about the island along with grabbing a great bite to eat. I highly recommend the place and chef Jack has some great recipes to share!

“Tasty lionfish that helps save the reef!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Who could argue with eating an invasive species of fish on a well prepared platter and overlooking the beach and water on a beautiful day? The location can't be beat and the owner's story was a great addition to a great meal.

“Good fish and chips”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

I don't know how much it helps the local reef, but the lionfish fish and chips was delicious. The view of Half Moon day from the deck was nice and the cold Salve Vida was perfect. We'll definitely be back!

“Worst Meal in Five Weeks in West End”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Fish and Chips meal. Fish was undercooked, partial raw/chewy in the middle. Fries were frozens and needed another minute in the fryer. How can you mess up fish and chips. Been here over five weeks and never had a meal so poorly prepared.... Will not be back.
