“Best Ever- snorkel with the Dolphins”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

What a great way to spend an afternoon in Roatan. We made arrangements for this adventure thru Avi, the activity director here at Infinity Bay. He said it was one of the must do activities. He was right. First, if you are expecting a big budget high production experience, this is not the case. Anthony's Key is one of the oldest resorts on the Island and provides a great experience. The are two levels to experience -first is the dolphin experience and the next level is snorkeling with he dolphins. You must do the experience before the snorkel, but you can't snorkel without the experience. During the experience a trainer spends time explaining all about the dolphins, with one right with you, touching the dolphin, and posing with It. You'll have your picture taken with the dolphin so they can offer you pic's for purchase later, not cheap but really fun to have as a momento.

This part lasts about 25 minutes, then the snorkel starts if you paid the extra for that. In our opinion it's worth it. You have
the opportunity to swim freely with the dolphins for about 30 minutes. They'll swim with you, by you, around you, and under you. The water is not as clear in the cove but really fun. There is a trainer available to answer questions but is not directing the interaction. The dolphins swim freely and interact as they want. The day we went they were very interactive and fun.

There aren't but a couple of places in the world this type of activity is available so it truly unique. This isn't cheap but if you want to interact - yes even touch / stroke a / several dolphins its worth the price.

“Happy dolphins, great encounter!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

This was my first encounter with dolphins, which had been on my bucket list for some time, and it was all I could ask for! The best part was that the dolphins got to swim in open water, not trapped in a pool. They seemed more than happy to do tricks and get petted by us tourists, and receive food in return. The trainer told us the dolphins were never punished for not doing a trick correctly, only rewarded when they did it right. You're not really swimming, just "interacting" with a dolphin, so it's labeled appropriate for even a 4 year old. A professional photographer captures the moment for you, which you can later purchase in their store. It's hard to tell who's happier in my photo--me or Pigeon, our dolphin!

“Great Way to Wade with Dolphins”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Fantastic opportunity to get up close with dolphins. The place is beautiful, the people were very friendly, the cabanas where you changed into and out of your swim suit are right there at the site and the dolphins were trained while living in the ocean. I was amazed at how the dolphin acted like a pet with her trainer. The trainer told us many things about dolphins while we were able to touch the dolphin carefully under the trainers constant supervision. He also said the dolphins were let out of the cove to swim in the ocean to exersize and then the dolphins would come back into the cove. Very nice way to see and to appreciate the wild. The water is about 4 to 5 feet deep where you meet the dolphins so you don't even get your hair wet. Worth the time and money.
