“True Paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

The most beautiful place I have ever seen. We enjoyed playing with the monkeys, the cubs and birds. Lunch was delicious, we had lobster, chicken, steak, and rice. We did have to pay extra to get pics with the animals which I think should have been included. Overall, the most beautiful place I have been to in the caribbean!

“Enchanting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We spent a day at Little French Key while we were in port in Roatan, during our cruise on the NCL Dawn. Wonderful, wonderful excursion that was not crowded and had a lovely atmosphere. It took a little while to travel from port and then take the ferry to the island, but once we arrived, the travel time was more than worth it. We were traveling with our three young children (ages 9,7,5) and since the island is so small, they were able to pretty much roam independently, which was excellent. We settled into a little beach cove with kayaks nearby and the kids played happily for hours. The animals were very cool, especially the baby jaguars. The food was outstanding—probably the best we had on our entire cruise. Super fresh and a server was kind enough to bring our food out to the picnic tables by the beach so we avoided lines altogether. My older son loved jumping off the 12-foot ledge into the ocean and I took the youngers on a kayak trip around the island. Very cool!

The excursion was worth every penny and I would recommend it for everyone, but especially for families with young children. Awesome!

“Little French Key made our vacation!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

We were in Roatan for 6 days and little French key was by far our favorite place. We went back twice because it was so much fun. We snorkeled, swam, lounged, played with monkeys, baby jaguars ... Had a few cocktails! Other people kayaked but we didn't get around to it.

I came here for work, but there were families, couples, and people like myself. Whatever dynamic you have, there is something for everyone

Once you get there, you don't have to worry about carrying money. They just run a tab for your food and activities and you pay at the end. It's incredibly reasonable in price and the food is really good. We met the owners wife and children who all help out with the business, they are such genuine people, we felt so welcome. I can't wait to come back :)

“Fabulous!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Spent a day here while on a cruise and couldn't be happier we did! What a great place. Well run, friendly people, great food, plenty of chairs/space and fun animals (careful the monkeys bite - daughter got a pretty nasty bite on her finger). My biggest complaint is that we paid $98 for transportation, lunch, use of the facilities, and "guided snorkel tour." When we got there no one ever said when or how the guided snorkel tour worked or how to take it - so we never did. I'm still not sure anyone ever went on one since the people we were next to said they paid and didn't go either. That said, it would not stop me from going to the beautiful little island paradise again - nor from highly recommending it to others.

“wonderful excursion from cruiseship”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

We were looking for an excursion booked separately from the cruiseship, in the hopes of a less crowded & touristy experience. Little French Key (LFK) filled that expectation. One of the drivers met us just outside the port, and we rode with some others to Frenchy's 44, which is owned by the same family as LFK. Everyone was friendly & helpful. Probably 40-50 people total from our cruiseship went to LFK, which was great because the key was big enough to spread out and feel like you were doing something a little more special. Lunch was fantastic, we had a bit of everything offered, and it was one of the best meals of our whole vacation. Great drinks, combed sand, small zoo area, and clean changing area/bathrooms all made this an enjoyable & low-key excursion. No problems in getting back to the ship on time. Only "complaint" was the quality of snorkeling; visibility wasn't great which was likely due to weather, but even so, we've seen better.
